General Comments

I like them alot! Have been using the Shunyata Python Helix Alpha's. Upon comparison the coincident appear to be a little more musical and engaging used on my power amps.

As always, thank you for the great service and passion you share for music.

Just a short note of appreciation for you triumph speakers, cables and interconnects. The speakers are amazing, they were awesome when they arrived, but now that they’re broken in they’re exceptional. I also want to thank you for the interconnects. I spent a lot on an expensive 5.1 system without good results, until I installed the coincident interconnects. Now, not only do I appreciate high end sound, I have a system that’s perfect for me.

P.J. (Canada)

Good Morning Israel,
I am so impressed with your speakers! I have never in my 30 years of listening heard a speaker that is so multi-talented. Great with low power tubes....great with higher power solid state.
Thanks,

Pure Reference Extreme

Israel,

Starting a new email string with you to mark the end of life without the PRE and the beginning of life with it!

You said I would be blown away. I am hearing detail I've never heard in recordings that I have listened to FOR YEARS and on very good equipment. Case in point: this moment, Modern Jazz Quartet. I begin hearing each instrument to the point that I can see them playing in my minds eye. The cymbal and snare drum are in the room (I'm a drummer). Earlier, I listened to Leonard Cohen's newest one. It's eerie. His voice. The music is alive. I could go on and on.

I think you would be proud of your system in this space. I would love for you to visit sometime.

In closing, I will say that I have not been as excited to listen to music in quite some time. I find myself listening and literally shaking my head in near disbelief. It's awesome. Thank you.

Best regards,

R.P. (Kansas City, MO)

I'd like to let you know that I'm completely blown away by the music coming from my system, thanks to your PRE.MK. II. I have never heard such effort less & natural music reproduction on a sound system before. The amount of detail and spatial cues they provide is nothing like I've experienced to date, it feels like the room walls have been taken down, and I can feel the recording venue with all the musicians with unprecedented depth and space...

Music has been for me a way to contribute to a healthy balance in life and being happy every day. Beyond all the technical side of building a reference system, I'd like to sincerely thank you and your team for this wonderful contribution to my daily life...

Like I said, I'm blown away... can't be a happier customer.

Cheers and thanks,

S.N. (Montreal, Q.C)

Dear Israel,

Thank you very much for your absolutely magnificent products and service! I am absolutely delighted with my current Coincident system (although I still have that problem with my Esoteric K-03 player!!). The Frankenstein amplifiers and the PRE speakers are absolutely amazing and by far the best combination I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy in my listening room.

The shotgun Extreme cabling has been a great improvement too!!!! After the recent purchase (on the used market, I'm sorry!) of more shotgun Extreme cables, I have now been able to add them to my secondary system too and the improvement has been incredible! Even my mothers's system (Rogers tube amp with LS3/5a monitors) now uses a shotgun Extreme speaker cable and an Extreme IC. She called me yesterday to tell me how it has transformed her system! She is delighted too and asked me to send you a message, which is something I intended to do anyway.

What I find extraordinary about Coincident is that you have been able to produce absolutely state of the art (if not the absoute best) products in the speaker, amplifier and cable categories. Even your (unadvertised!?!?!?) power bar is amazing! This is a major achievement that is unmatched in my experience.

You have given to me many hours of enjoyment listening to great music with the most extraordinary sound, the finest Christmas present I could think of! Thank you very much!

Best regards,

A.G. (Barcelona, Spain)

Hi Israel,

By the way my PRE sound amazing! now....the key to solving all my difficulties was investing in a good pre-amp, the speakers have just disappeared from the room and I'm left with razor sharp focus and imaging, not only in width but height and depth as well. And with no Eq required.

Regards

B.R.(Australia)

Extreme Double Shotgun Speaker

By the way, the speakers are sounding sublime. They have exceeded my expectations and my expectations are very high. The naturalness of the sound is extraordinary and just about everyone who listens to them comments on that aspect. A friend who composes and records music for films and television shows was over the other night and listened with his back turned to them and a few feet in front of them. His comment was that it felt like it does when he's playing with the musicians in a band. All the instruments and sounds are in the right place and at the right scale.
I could go on, but I won't. Just wanted to share some feedback and thank you for creating such a remarkable instrument. And I can't wait to get your cables into the mix.
Best regards,

T.M.( Studio City, CA)

Dear Israel,

First of all; The Coincident Pure Reference Extreme is now 150++ hours and for me this is "music made in heaven" the gap between Total Victory 4 and PRE is greater than expected.

J.W. (Norway)

Israel,

Just wanted to tell you how happy I am with the PRE speakers - and the whole system. With every listening session these speakers continue to amaze me. And of course this is coming from the Total Victory V speakers - no slouches as you know! In comparison I would say that the mid/tweeter is just that much more natural-sounding - allowing me to completely immerse myself in the sound rather than "listen to the speakers" if you know what I mean. With the phono/linestage/franks I am getting the most natural and least electronic-sounding audio I have ever experienced. What most amazes me is the fullness of the bass, even in comparison to the Total Victory V, which share the identical woofers. The sound is just phenomenal all around. It's so good that it defies description in some ways - i.e. it just sounds like music being played and performed right in front of me.

I want to thank you for working with me this past year or so to allow me to realize this dream system. Every listening session is an event.

H.F. (Toronto, ON)

Israel,

The Sound is Amazing. You are a genius. I have the best system in Canada.

G.H. (Toronto, ON)

PS -- The SOUND from these is SO AWESOME that I have to blame YOU for
not getting enough work done this summer. (Just kidding, of course)
It has been such a pleasure that I keep listening to music, hearing details in the depths
that I've never heard before. Too many places to mention. Everything is PERFECT.
From the place in the drum solo on Take 5 where there's a slight mis-clack of the wood
against the drum… perfect. To Don Giovanni, all voices separate, perfect.
All perfect.

You are a genius.

R.B. (Cambridge, MA)

Hi Israel,

I think the CPRE speakers and Shotgun cables are the best audiophile investments I've made.

Though Franks and Dragons are great amps and so is the Statement LineStage as an preamp, i feel it sort of correct the mistakes of what all preamp and amplifiers are making, it makes good music sound better (by not distorting the sound with electronics...and also assuming one's system already has top gear and excellent speakers to drive)....but the CPRE/Shotguns are so very different, it's very easily live with, it makes system matching much easier whether it is SS or Tubes, easy placement and full range, excellent imaging, no uncalled for attention in any frequency spectrum, pleasant aesthetics (unlike some monstrous speakers yet not very full range), no tubes replacement cost...in fact, it doesn't require top gears to sound good! When at times, i just turn on the music and sit back, relax...the hours just slip by and wish i could spend more time enjoying the music! This speaker should be found in every serious audiophile home!

For anyone with budget issues, i would recommend the dollar be invested in speakers, then cables...the area where most obvious and best improvement heard.

J.P. (Toronto, ON)

I have now after 40 years play with my passion the best sound .
Thank You for Great Equipment !!!

I am happy owner Your products - CPRE speaker , CSLS line stage.
Now waiting for phono stage.

Hi Israel,

I was delighted to see the review of the P.R. Extremes in this months Absolute Sound. I think Peter did an exceptional job painting a realistic picture of the harmonized balance they strike while listening to these exceptional speakers. I tried to describe the same attributes in my e mail to you about the Pure Reference last year. However I am not the writer Peter is. I have had my PR Extremes for about 7 months and feel they accomplish everything the P.R does but with a slightly larger sound stage in width and depth. Definition is sharper and more focused. The bass is taken to a new level. It has noticeably greater control than the P.R. I didn't think that was possible but the imaging remains focused with more power. The Pure Reference is an incredible speaker however the the Extremes are hands down worth every penny of the extra $6000.00 price tag. I am a happy man to own a pair. That being said it is impossible for me not to mention amplifiers for these kings.

I purchased the Coincident Dragon amps 2 years ago and was very pleased with their performance using them with TV2, PR and lastly Extremes. A powerful dynamic amp if ever there was one. I love them. I then auditioned the Frankenstein 2. It was an easy decision to purchase a pair. I did so thinking I would sell the Dragons and upgrade my tone arm. After some break in time with the Frankenstiens I began to hear detail yet unheard with the Dragons. I was ecstatic! At the same time I had been listening to the Dragons for 2 years. Like two old friends it was hard to say good by, so I hooked them up for possibly one last time. However I decided to leave the Frankensteins hooked up to the driver unit and the bass modules to the Dragons. I was blown away. I heard beautiful airy delightful highs and bass with GESTALT like never before. I was snake bitten. These 4 parts played as a whole like a professional four part harmony group plays as one. It was and is an unbelievable experience that I continue to delight in day after day. I could live with the PR and either of the Coincident amps and be very happy. I could live with the Extremes and either Coincident amps and be delighted. However the PR Extremes fired by both amplifiers are like a match made in heaven. They have to be heard together to be believed. I have been on what seems a quest, adding in and swapping out components for about 7 years. I can't imagine changing my present set up for many years to come if at all. Thanks Israel and congratulations on the recognition the industry has awarded you. It is long overdue!

Best Regards
M.H. (Langley, B.C.)

Hello Israel

Attached is a photo of the PRs in place. I managed to get them out of their boxes and upright on Friday morning and then on Friday afternoon, Roy and I tested various listening options, settled on aviable placement (i.e. acceptable to my wife and OK to my ears) and then started to listen.

I have listened to them using my BAT amp and the Frankensteins through the BAT's valve preamp section. I listened enough to be able to distinguish between the two; but with either the speakers are truly amazing, so thank you. I was truly gobsmacked by what the Frankensteins could do; with only 8 watts/channel.

In an ideal world, I would have kept the Frankensteins, but I must cut my cloth for my circumstance, having spent a lot more than I ever envisaged when I started the Coincident journey. If I were living in Toronto and able to take advantage of the $1 000 reduction, and not have to pay all the other shipping and import charges, I would have bought the Frankensteins.
P.T. (South Africa)

The Pure Reference is the best speaker I have ever heard. Amazing!
Franc Kuzma (Slovenia)

Israel,

Thanks for the audition today. I enjoyed the session very much. The pure reference speakers are amazing. I have never heard more dynamic, clean and expansive sound from any other speakers I have heard to date. The vocals on Nora Jones blew me away with its powerful extensions. It handled Victor Feldman with impressive ease, never straining.
C.K. (Burlington, ON)

Israel,

The reason to write; I had a moment and I wanted to say thanks again for the sound. The amps ( Dragons) the Pure Reference (oh the Pure Reference) the cables( Extreme ICs, speaker cable, power cords) all sound wonderful. The system is superb! Thanks again for working with me over the last 4 years to build things to where they are today.

Best Regards
M.H. Langley (B.C.)

Hi Israel,

The Pure Reference has been in use for 3 months. They have many attributes well worth mentioning.

Immediacy: On a good recording there is plenty of air around the instruments with scale to match. Transport to the event in my opinion is the thing most desired. Connection.

Coherence: On all levels it is superb. However on upper to mid range it is surreal. The Accuton tweeter and midrange sound as if they are one driver. The components themselves are state of the art. At the same time the crossover you have integrated is so seamless it is spooky. Beautiful!

Bass: Way down to the bowls of the earth and incredibly tight. BIG BIG BASS.

Boundary Issues: I have always had boundary issues. I’m not talking about the ones my parents use to say I struggled with many years ago or what my wife would say now. This has always been a big issue for my small room. I have worked hard to eliminate an especially nasty bass problem using many different tools including expensive RPG diffusers and sono tubes. As you know taming the beast can be a very difficult task. Those treatments have helped in small increments and I would not change any of them. However speakers that are designed to give whomp below 30 Hz can have inherent problems in small rooms, especially with bass. Your claim that the Pure Reference deals with many boundary problems, is not just idle words. Whether it be first reflection or bass much is contained. Do these speakers solve the problem? No, but they go a long way to tame the beast. Many of us desire a full range speaker that doesn’t muddy the waters, and you have delivered that in spades. The Pure Reference controls bass like I have never experienced before especially in a small setting.

Kudos to you Israel. Again you have created another stellar product that is no idle boast. Well done. Well done!!

Best Regards
M.K. Langley (B.C)

Hi Israel,

I have to admit that you have built a super speaker with the PR. At my place it is highly sensitive regarding placement. After carefully tuning it is sounding very good. It is becoming better and better every day. Also the match with the Atma-Sphere amps is beautiful, this combination is involving and very dynamic. From low end to high end this speaker rocks. From what I have heard the ceramic units will be improving for a long period so I have not heard the best yet.

I have to say that the quality of the sound is high on the scale of the best speakers I have heard. It is always difficult to speak about the best speakers because this is depending on acoustics of the room and all other equipment, situation and so on.

D.M. (The Netherlands)

Mr. Blume,

I wanted to let you know that we delivered the speakers several months later than we anticipated-the builder was extremely slow in finishing. My client has had the speakers now for 3 weeks and I just got my 3rd call from him telling me how absolutely delighted he is with him. He is just amazed by the imaging, the resolution, the SPEED, cleanliness and the amazingly small footprint for such a truly full-range speaker.
TS (Columbia, S.C.)

He says they just blow away his previous reference speakers and he feels he can live happily with them for the rest of his life. I do not know if it is possible for a serious audiophile such as my client to pay a higher compliment, so I wanted to share all that with you.

Thank you for helping me put together a system (Pure References, Dragons, All Coincident Extreme Cables) more outstanding than I ever dreamed possible.
MG (Toronto, ON)

Hello Israel,
I'm sure it's early days yet, but how much time have these drivers on teh PR's?
It look very little time before I was nailed to the listening seat.

Well, personally this is the sort of reproduction I've wanted from tube amps for a long while.
Also seemed to have hit the jackpot in room match -smaller speakers have presented more problems in placement, and bass here...

The blend between drives (including bass) is more seamless than I've ever heard. And I have to admit my own interconnect production is now scrapped having heard the dynamics and bass damping from the Extreme. I can hear - it's an essential part of the system.
PH (New Zealand)

Dear Israel,
I just wanted to say that it was good to meet you in Vegas last week and that I really enjoyed listening to the SACD of Jacintha Goes To Hollywood on your system with the new Coincident Reference speakers. I thought the sound in your room at the Venetian was really outstanding.
Ying Tan (Groove Note Records)

Israel,
I still can't get over how good your Pure Reference speakers with both pairs of amps sounded at the show. Well done!
NG (CA)

I now have at least 5 customers that are trying to sell their speakers in order to get the PR, they are about to change from JMLab grand utopia, vonschweikerts vr-9 and so on. And for my ears, they really are the best. I have never heard anything so dynamic and full of musicality as PR!!
CM (Sweden)

Dear Israel!
Have you had any written reviews on Pure Reference yet? After this days with listening I must say they are just incredible! They sound like nothing else.I really wonder what will happen when they have played for a while.............
CM (Sweden)

I cannot recommend these speakers more highly. Prior to the Total Reference I owned Magnepan 20.1, Magnepan 3.6 (I used an REL Stadium III for bass with both), and Dunlavy SC IV. I used an Edge NL 10 and Rowland SynergyIIi for my amp/preamp. I cannot truthfully remember what I used before this. I must say that I was quite happy with the MG 20.1 but I always felt that I had to have them reasonably loud for them to sound their best. The high end was certainly good at low levels but the mids and lows suffered somewhat. I read about Coincident on Arthur Salvatore's site. He indicated that the Total Victory performed quite well and that its low level detail was excellent. Like you, I have no local representation but I decided to take the risk anyway. I had never heard any of the Coincident speakers. I bought the Total Reference because I wanted a full range speaker. I always felt that the bass from a subwoofer was disproportionately represented. I HAVE NEVER REGRETTED MY PURCHASE OF THE TOTAL REFERENCE!!!!!!! This speaker is great. It duplicates the high end of the Magnepan that I loved but it also gave me a midrange and bass that is great from top to bottom regardless of the listening level. I cannot tell you where this speaker does not excel considering its price. As far as I am concerned it is like comparing a television capable of 480p to an HDTV capable of 1080p. If your source material is excellent you will not be disappointed. I have an extensive vinyl collection consisting primarily of the classics on Decca and EMI. The music truly shines on these speakers. Chamber music is cozy and intimate, orchestal music is majestic. The vocalists are there in the room with you.

I have recently prchased the 300B II amps. They are still breaking in yet they take these speakers another step closer to reality. They seem to enhance the orchestral perspective and "life" of the music.

In closing, I wanted to add that Mr. Blume goes well above and beyond the norm when it comes to customer satisfaction. He has been helpful, responsive, and honest. He stands behind his product with a confidence that is justified.

The Total References are simply the most amazing speakers I have ever heard. The combination of detail and purity with all the impact, bass and dynamics has been incredible. The sound with my Coincident amps cannot be any better. It has everything. The bass is so tight and controlled and the dynamics are explosive. I am hearing things on recordings I did not know were even there. It is spooky. WOW!
M.G. (Calgary, AB)

Hi Israel,
As for the Total Reference speakers:
I am still stunned at our listening session last month. The new Total Reference are truly stunning (pun intended here). When we listened to Reiner CSO Scheherazade on vinyl I was blown away with the detail, dynamics and incredible sound stage they revealed.
Your new Total Reference will without doubt will be a success. I believe you may have set a new bench mark in yet another price category of speakers. Thanks again for your hospitality. It was great spend time with you again.

Hi Israel,
I recently purchased and became the proud owner of, a pair of Total Victory
2s which I use with the Atma-Sphere M60s.
Words fail me......
They are SO far beyond ANY other high end speaker I have ever heard !!
Thank you for designing a speaker that gives me so much pleasure.
M.C. (USA)

Hi Israel,
First impression WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I can hardly wait until they are fully broken in. Dynamics and staging are explosive. You were right. The upgrade from last year on the crossover is immediately noticeable.
As always, you are true to your word and your craft. You promised an even better sound than the TV II audition of a year ago, and you delivered.
Making and listening to music is an absolute joy, a gift from God. The Total Victory II makes listening to music that much more enjoyable. Thanks for the passion you put into your craft. It shines through!
M.H. (Langley, BC)

Hi Israel:
Wanted to let you know how faulous your speakers sound with low powered amps. I borrowed a pair of 45 mono blocks with vintage Acrosound Transformers. At 2.7 wpc you would not believe how those bad boys are singing. TI is unbelievable. TI blows away the 140 wpc cjs. And I was worried about having enough power....
Regards,
L.D. (Owing Mills, MD)

Dear Israel,
The inner detail is amazing. I noticed I was just sitting there with a smile on my face. It is such a pleasure to listen. These speakers seem to do everything well and everything just sounds easy. No fatigue whatsoever. Wonderful. Everyone needs speakers like these...
K.K. (Rockville, MD)

I moved the speakers further apart, 9ft, and what a difference it made in the the entire spectrum. The high frequencies smoothed out, the detail became more apparent but not forward. These speakers are extraordinary. I kept saying to myself ...unbelievable...Un believable.. Last night I was concerned as to whether I should have sold my MAggie 3.6s. Today, I am hearing many nuances that were never apparent listening to material that I have played numerous times through the MAggies. I can't imagine it can get much better than this. The clarity is simply amazing. And, I am using CJ mono blocks that are perhaps not the best match with these speakers. I can't wait to try some single-ended amps.
I also put on the extender feet and cones and it tightened up the entire bottom end.
Thanks again, these speakers are awesome. Can't wait until they have been completely broken in.
L.D. (Owings Mills, MD)

Dear Israel,
You are a genius. These speakers are unbelievable. They are head and shoulders beyond anything I have ever had before. I had the Nightingales before and they do not compare. The Total Victory II is everything I ever wanted in a speaker. Thank you for making such an incredible product. You are a genius.
B.D. (Frisco, TX)

Hi Israel,
I have come to the conclusion that the extender feet crystallize everything a hint more. A small investment to get that added bonus. Thanks for the suggestion.
Is it just rumor or is it true that you are developing an "Extreme" interconnect? If so can we make a deal like we did with the TRS speaker cables. What a difference in the speaker cable! I can only imagine how much better the interconnect will be.
A few more thoughts since I have had time to listen to the Supers with the extenders and process the time I spent listening to the Totals.
1- I was amazed at how much MORE there was to the Totals. The name is fitting. Presence was some much larger (MORE)
The sound stage tightly defined ( MORE). The stage bigger ( MORE ). The timbre sweeter in resonance ( MORE ).
2- Having said all that I am just as appreciative and amazed with my Super E's. What you have accomplished with them for the price is amazing in it's own right.
I say BRAVO BRAVO, to both the Super E's and the Total Victory!
They are unsurpassed in both price categories.
Thanks again for the time spent and for the craftsmanship and commitment you bring to the audio industry.
Best Regards
Mark

Dear Israel,

A friend of mine has replaced his Karma mini exquisite and it's dedicated sub with my old TEII speaker and he now prays for both of us.I have to admit that your amps( Frankensteins and Dragons) are most natural sounding amps that I ever tried or listened.Just to explain who I am I will tell you about speakers that I used .These are te ones that I remember, Dali Grand,Zingali Home monitor 112, Tannoy GRF Memory, Quad 988, Harberth Monitor 40,Escalante Fremont,Monitor audio GR 20,Totem Forest (in my office),Monitor audio PL300,Coincident Super eclipse,B&C acouistics MF15II (Horn),Tannoy Glenair,Verity Sarastro,Selah Audio RC5 (I did it),Coincident TEII,Hansen Prince V2 (Hansens are also very nice) and your TVIV.Your style of reproduction of music is really closest to the lifelike.I am always interested in musical pieces even they don't have hi end specs. If you consider the prices that you have you r products must be the best seller ones in my opinion of course.I would like to thank you for making such great musical pieces.
Best regards

M.K. (Istanbul, Turkey)

Dear Israel,

The speakers are doing very nicely. Even our smallest amp, the S-30 plays them like crazy. The speakers sound excellent, full range and very easy to play. Good Work!

Hi Israel,
You are right - as always w/ speakers - amazing, amazing. even better.
I am playing them through the Audio Aero Capitole.
Interesting - the Audio Aero for some reason seems to do even better than the Esoteric DV-50S, but i have to compare more closely.
The speakers are just astonishing. I am listening to the Mozart clarinet concerto, SACD, and I *swear* it has the full dimensionality. What a pleasure.
Thank you,
best, bob

Hi Israel,
I purchased a pair of your amazing, amazing, amazing Total Victories from you in July 2002.. They are without peer - thank you. I've never enjoyed music so much. I've put them up against Quad 988 --no contest. Easily, easily better.
A masterpiece of the speaker-maker's art.
RB, (MA)

Israel,
Just to let you know that - the TVs are performing magic - and it is not even broken in. Great Product.
Thanks

Hello Mr. Blume,
The Total Victory is appropriately named. I really was knocked out by the performance, in all aspects.

Have not had the opportunity to listen to the Total Victory loudspeaker - yet. Having listened to the Victory however, I think I can say that you are in for the same - and more...
- Seemingly unlimited power handling capability with very low distortion. With the addition of (4) 8 woofers per side, the distortion will be even lower due to larger piston area and less strain on other drivers. This will approach JBL, TAD, Westlake Audio like studio monitor SPL - but with the added pinpoint soundstaging accuracy only found in a narrow-baffle design.
- The Total Victory is going to cause waves... You're getting ultra-high efficiency, high power handling capability, pinpoint soundstaging accuracy, ultra low distortion - all in a modestly sized, beautifully trimmed package. There's no doubt in my mind that the capabilities of Mr. Blume's latest design will be equaled only by systems costing 5x as much - to start.
- My thinking says you are not going to be disappointed.
12-07-02: Gunnar, AudioGon

Unbelievable speakers...........certainly one of the best I have heard at any price. I would rather have these speakers than the big Kharma's, pipe's, and many other ultra expensive speakers. Couple that with the fact that you can drive them with almost any amp, and you have a dream speaker. Israel is a pleasure to deal with as well. By the way, they are more than just a victory with deep bass...........almost everything is improved over the victory's.
12-07-02: Dolphin, AudioGon

Read my review of this speaker on this site- amazing. In fact, if I could afford them, they would be here, but instead I have the also excellent regular Victory- in fact in my smaller room they are great. If you have a decent-sized room, you will be hard-pressed to do better than the Total Victory- and Israel is a great guy!
12-07-02: Sutts, AudioGon

Israel,
I wanted to thank you for your excellent customer service. You have helped me mate the TV's with excellent gear and you have given me an education on room treatment. You are knowledgeable, friendly, and you obviously love your craft. If you ever have ANYONE that is looking to speak with someone that has heard the TV's, please dont hesitate to pass on my e-mail address. I can say without hesitation that they are the finest speaker I have ever owned, and certainly one of the best I have heard anywhere at any price.

Hi Israel,
BTW, the system, (Total Victory/MP 300B), is sounding better than I ever dreamed possible. Thanks for everything,
PC - Ottawa, On.

Dear Israel,
After running the SIP 300B Int-Amp for just 2days after receiving it, initial part of the break in process. I was totally taken aback with the superb sonic characteristics displayed by the Amplifier. As you can tell by the time I am writing this mail - just cannot stop digging out favorite CDs / Records etc, I guess I will go nocturnal tonight. I have listened to various 300B based Amps. Most of them 2x to 3x the price of the SIP 300Bs. The Direct and Integrated features makes the Amplifiers very flexible given the option of utilizing a Pre-Amp and or other source equipment, idiot proof adjustments very user friendly. The SIP 300B in plain English SUPERBLY FANTASTIC - it is simply unmatched for dynamics, resolution, imaging, inner detail, excellent soundstage, superb transparency, hence it's ability of creating the impression of it not there, on very good materials, some Red book CDs, XRCD,Superbit CDs etc it does it best on Vinyl. I will not hesitate to recommend this Amplifier to anyone in the market for a new Amplifier. It is a MUST audition Amplifier before springing on anything close or even higher in price. Kudos Israel, if this is your first integrated Amplifier, then I wonder how good your first Mono Amplifiers sounds like. With the price point for both the SIP 300B or the MP 300B, I guess it will open the eyes of the average audiophile and force most manufacturers into reasonble pricing.
Thanks for the whole new wave of affordable Amplifiers.....Bravo Israel, Bravo. I know I will be a total zombie tomorrow....Billy Holiday, Louis Amstrong and Mozart are here with me - I gotto go.
Sincerely,
Koby

Dear Israel,
The Coincident integrated sounds very good; no more leaness, but not syrupy either. Direct in sounds cleaner than with the Opal! Need confirmation by golden ears on this one. It has lower sensitivity than the Onyx, so I need to crank up the volume higher than I am used to. Super quiet too! So preliminary impressions are most positive. Looks like I can now sell the Onyx and Opal, and put a decent downpayment on family van, since we are expecting child #2! What is your best recommendation for the 300B? The Valve Art don't sound too bad though. I will write you a comparative piece for you, once the gang here and I get the full measure of this amp, if you like.
Thanks for another fine offering! I listen more to the music, not the gear. What a concept...
JK (Ottawa, Ont)

.... The MP 300Bs!
In one word, WOW! While I read what tubes could do through magazines and the internet, while I listened what they could do at Audio Shows, & audio stores, I was not ready for the lushly smooth voices that were coming out of the Osbourn Epitome (91 DB) ... the mids were very revealing
(sometimes I would swear there was a 3D effect). Overall, I would definitely recommend this product over others.
JW(Mtl., Que)

These are the best valve amps I have ever owned, and I have had quite a few over the years. They are absolutely beautiful. They look as good as they sound. A remarkable feat.
DD (Ireland)

This amp is by far, the most liquid, transparent full range SET that I have ever heard. Lowest noise levels from a tube amp as well. I am experiencing music like I never have in the past. Drives my Victories with ease. An incredible job and at the price a real give away. Stunning looks with sound to match. What more can I say?
DA (Tor, Ont)

Hello Israel
My Partial Eclipse II is playing like nothing else I have heard before, just pure magic.
You have the best speakers for us with SE tubed gear!
Best regards
GO(Norway)

Hi Israel:

A couple years ago, I purchased Partial Eclipse II's, interconnect and speaker cables directly from you. I love the speakers and must say that they have exceeded my expectations. Well done!
AB, (Mass)

Dear Mr. Israel Blume

My Name is Zeev Langer and I live in Jerusalem Israel.
For the past 50 years I am listening to classical music every day for at least one hour and on weekends for 3 or 4 hours.

I also go to concerts. I know very well how a Piano, String Quartet, Orchestra, Opera etc should sound.
When I first heard the Coincident Partial Eclipse in the shop I said to myself "These speakers play it all perfectly but they do not "sound beautiful" like other speakers"

I took the speakers home and I understood what it is all about…

I couldn't stop listening. I put on all the "Problematic" Cds I got and I heard what I never heard before. These speakers are the most "Musical" I heard,

They do exactly what they should do - playing all what they get from the source without changing anything. It is amazing. One can listen for hours without getting tired. You do not hear the speakers play, you simply enjoy the music. Thank you very much!
II- ZL (Jerusalem, Israel)

Dear Mr. Israel Blume

I have been playing for som time now on my Partial Eclipse II with my new preamp the ASL FLORA EX, for poweramp I for now I use my Muse Model Two Hundred (will be replaced with the ASL AQ 1006 845 DT Mk II later). The source is a borrowed CD player Musical Fidelity A5.

I must say this was more than I have expected, the music reproduction was the best I have heard in many years! Your speakers played almost like electrostats even better. The Partials played with great control from the deep bass to the highest treble. The speakers was able to play all kinds of music I put through my system with ease. The mids in the Partial was also the best I have heard, great speakers!

A friend of mine came by to listen, and told me this is the best speaker he had heard in a long time, it reproduced music more convincing than his bigger and more expensive Peak Consult 3 way speakers (the model before the Zoltan). They will now be sold and he will purchase your Total Victory II from your dealer in Norway.

Best regards
G.O. (Norway)

Dear Mr. Blume,
Just wanted to thank you again for the great product and customer service you provided me when purchasing your speakers.
AL (Clearwater, FL)

Hey Israel

How are you? I'm emailing you to tell you that I received my speakers early in the morning today. Let me start off by telling you that I absolutely love my older speakers (Meadowlark Kestrel 2's). They had great bass, super wide soundstage, detail...they were great. It took only seven seconds of the first song that I played with the partials to tell me that they are phenomenal. I feel so guilty saying this because my kestrels were so great to me but the partials blew away my kestrels. I didn't even position the partials correctly...they sound so good, I just wanted to sit back and enjoy. The highs were awesome, and the bass was great and very tight. My Kestrels were very good at disapearing but man, the partials are even better. I just can't wait till I get this speakers positioned correctly, and get them broken in. (Oh, and side note, these speakers are beautiful...the pictures do not do them justice).

I was originally going to just hear them today because my speaker cables are being reterminated, and I took my dad's but I guess my dad will have to wait a little longer. I can go on and on but you probably get a ton of email praising your speaker so basically, I hope you're going to be building speakers for a long time because I plan on becoming a lifetime customer. Geez, I still have goose bumps...anyway, happy holidays, and thanks again,

P.L. (New York, NY)

Mr. Blume,
I just hooked up my new Partial II's last nite I received from you a week ago & all I can say is thank you.  Out of the box they have exceeded my expectations.  I have them paired with a new Cary SLI-80 F1 (Cary/Upscale Audio upgraded unit) integrated amp running in triode at 50 wpc. The sound is delicious with only 3 hrs. on both the amp & speakers.  I have ordered a set of extender feet & oversize spikes from you/Kevin Deal for my carpeted floor.  Hopefully they'll arrive soon.
Best regards,
P.H. (Gainesville, FL)

Hello Mr. Blume,
They do sound very nice in my system with excellent imaging and great extension on both ends. I'm very impressed with the sound of the speaker and I'm surprised that they are not more prevalent in the field. They easily best my Reference 3A MM Decapos which get nearly universal praise. And I'm powering them with a 3.5 w/ch SET amp!
Kindest regards,
TT (Cincinnati, Ohio)

Hi Israel,
I recently purchased the Partial Eclipse speakers. They are very very good. I just sold a pair of Linn Sondek Ninka speakers and replaced them with yours. The Partials are better in every way and not just a little!! The cabinets are absolutely beautiful and very well built. The overall sound quality is just tremendous for a speaker in their price range. Do they sound a lot like their big brothers?
Thanks for the great product!!
DC

Israel, I want to thank you for the quality of components and construction that went into these speakers. I've only played them about twenty hours and they sound beautiful.
JG (Desplaines, IL)

They are truly beautiful works of art. They are the best sounding speakers I've owned so far. The Partial Eclipses sound superb right out of the box and they get better. WOW! I'm very happy with my purchase and I just want to let you know that you are a true audiophile genius. I will spread the word around.
Thanks again.
JA (NY,NY)

Super Victory

Hi Israel,

After your email assurance, and plenty more from the experts at Modular Audio, the SV II is finally standing in my little room.

I'm so glad I made the choice as SVII not just played well in the Modular Audio showroom, it stood the test of my small room. It was great from the first sound even though the room was small, bare and untreated.

To top it off, the commitment of the folks at Modular Audio to help customers get the best results really made my hi-fi journey very very enjoyable. Best of all... It is far from over, because the guys are coming back again when I've run in the speakers to do more adjustments and tweaking for me.

Guess I'm lucky that you chose such great agents to represent your fantastic work! They really made a difference in my choice.

Thanks!
M.T. (Singapore)

Hi Israel,

Now, about the speakers, I absolutely love them. The review on Stereo Mojo is bang on.
The speakers that I previously owned were all coloured on the dark side of neutral, so they had trouble playing certain types of music. This is not a problem now because the S.V are a neutral speaker.

I am amazed at how well they project such a wide soundstage. When proper placement is found, the bass, midrange and tweeter blend extremely well. They also sound fantastic even on less expensive gear. I believe after owning 6 decent pairs of speakers, these Super Victories ARE definitely keepers. My search is over.

Thanks,
DD (Peterborough, ON)

Mr. Blume,
The victories continue to perform fantastically...and getting better every day. I am able to adjust the timbre lock on the Audiopax model 88s so as to make them really sing.
CM (MA)

Dear Israel
Your speakers are now run in and are performing excellently. They are neutral in the real sense of the word, and they capture very accurately the way real instruments sound as I recall hearing them in the real world. I suspect one may have to pay many times as much without getting any more music from the source. Everyone who has heard them has mervelled at the uncommonly realistic presentation they provide of real instruments.
Regards,
RA (Norway)

Good day Israel.......have revisited your web page and by jove it really is superb, you have done a great job on it and it has to be one of the best I've seen. The speakers are by far the best I have ever heard, excellent in every way, I love them. More to the point, my friends love them too and when they see your monoblocks they gaze in awe at them. When they hear them play through your Victorys I have a hard job getting them to leave.....they too think it is the best system they have heard. Then they spot your interconnects and speaker cables......is there nothing this man Israel Blume can't do? Magnificient and musical and beautiful amps, superlative speakers of the highest order complemented by your speaker and interconnect wire and with a 14' x 13' room everything gells just perfectly and with Avid Acutus t/table, SMEV arm, Parnassus cartridge, Audiomeca Mephisto II Transport/Enkianthus 24/196 dac, Tom Evans' The Groove' Phono stage.......I think I've died and gone to Heaven.......well done Maestro.....you deserve all the praises and plaudits which are heaped at your feet.
DD (Northern Ireland)

Hi Israel:
I still have to do some fine tuning, and experimenting with room treatment; but these are easily the finest speakers I have ever owned...
Thanks once again
Best Regards,
RS (Grand Rapids, MI)

I need to tell you that this is the FIRST and ONLY component that I have ever owned that I don't think about replacing or upgrading. I am using A 45 amp built by Jeff Korneff, and a Fi Custom X, with these speakers, and because of their synergy with my SET's I find myself waking up every nite on my couch at 2 in the morning STUCK ,unable to go to my bedroom, because I am completely in love with what is coming out of these speakers.THANKS.
M L C. (Chicago,IL)

Hi Israel,
I have had the Victory's and CST cables for about a month now and I wanted to make the following comments.
First of all with regard to the CST cables. As I mentioned to you before, I have been having problems with RF interference in my system for some time now and have been unsuccessful at eliminating this problem. But as soon as I replaced my existing cables with CST power cords, interconnects, and reference speaker cable my problem has been completely eliminated. I now have clean detailed highs, a sweet open midrange with deep resolute bass with no hint of background noise. So, I want to say thanks for designing and building cables the way their supposed to be done and thanks for helping me resolve my RF problem.
With regard to the Victory's, they have about 200 hrs on them now and are starting to open up. The sound is very dynamic and open with lots of presence. The midrange and highs are everything I thought they would be, and I am able to achieve deep controlled bass with my Wyetech Onyx amps. I believe that if the Victory's are mated with an amp such as the Wyetech Lab amps and cable such as the TRS Reference then substantial bass can be achieved in a medium sized room without the use of a subwoofer. Great job on the Victory speaker.
TC (Nepean, Ont.)

Hi,They are fantastic! Plenty of bass w/ my Wyetech Onyx's. Very detailed but smooth as silk, IMHO I think they are the best thing Israel has come out with.
TB (Troutman, N.C.)

I don't know about the Super, I have had my Victory's for about 3 weeks. These are very special speakers! I have used only planar speakers for over 10 years. They have begun to break in & open up. These are simply amazing with tube amplification. They have the best decay I've ever heard. They are also extremely revealing of poor recordings & differences in equipment. Make sure your front end is up to the task. The only other dynamic speaker I've ever heard that sounds in it's class was the JM Lab Utopia. The Utopia is 30 large. I have been using the subwoofers from my Apogee Studio Grand speakers & they do help fill my room (15 X 24). I am told they will continue to improve until 300 hours use. It's hard to believe they can get much better. I am extremely happy with the Victory's, Israel Blume should be proud.
MB (Alden, NY)

The Victory is the best speaker I have ever heard to date. The combination of the Victory and my Topaz amplifier is the best sound I have experienced in my sound room. The performers and instruments are there in the room with you. Amazing!
Roger Hebert 10/2001 - Wyetech Labs

This is to let you know that I love the Victory sound so much. The bass is just right. The highs and mids are excellent. You are quite a genius in making speakers sound so good. Great work.
BT (Thailand)

The Victory is amazing- the bottom is not anything to be taken faintly-it is very tight- the mids/highs are subtle and truly on the natural sideof the audio spectrum-another great work Israel.
KK (NJ)

Well, the speakers are in place and performing very well with the Mac....I am particularly impressed with the way they handle speech from the CBC. I used to work there, (for 15 years actually), and these speakers are more accurate than the ones we used in the studio.
TD (Ont.)

I've now enjoyed the Frankensteins for 18 months. It seems that they get better with each passing day. They have provided me with insights on my favorite music that I never expected. These amps just seem to encourage me to listen to music of all genres and time periods. I find myself missing them when I'm at work or away from home when vacationing like I am now. I can't wait to get back home! I know it sounds crazy, but these amps have changed my life and my attitude toward music and high end audio. The Coincident Partial Eclipses that I am currently using were taken to such an incredibly high level with the Frankensteins that after 18 months I still can't believe it. I can say without a doubt that Coincident has totally clarified my audio priorities. I'm happy to report that I wish to continue on the Coincident "journey" and add your Statement Phono Preamp to my system as soon as possible(June/July?). Once again, thanks and keep up the good work!

C.C. (Michigan)

The amps are incredible right out of the box. The first thing I played was a vinyl copy of Gil Evans Orchestra "Out of The Cool". Amazing. The low level details and both macro and micro dynamics are just insane. This is how music should sound. Everything I have listened to has been a revelation. I just can't believe how good they look and sound.

C.C. (Newton, N.J)

Israel,

The Sound is Amazing. You are a genius. I have the best system in Canada

Thanks, Israel.

I am trying this morning just for fun the Frankies with LS and Phono combo on a pair of $250 B&W DM302, 91 db. The quality of your electronics is amazing... Even with a pair of $250 speakers they reproduce music in the most accurate and natural way I have ever listened, and I am 57 and I have listened to it at. You were totally right about the LS and Phono combo: the Frankies sound even better with that, like a great 30W SET. Dead silent background too, incredible low sound floor, natural midrange and highs and real bass.... I cannot imagine how this thing is going to be with the PR Extremes.

J.C. (Tuscaloosa, AL)

Israel,

Sounds gorgeous! rich sound and dynamic, all types of music good; no problem driving my SF guarneri homage; i guess would even sound better with your coincident speakers...
Thanks a lot for everything.
Best regards,

J.R. (Spain)

Hello,

Israel, I got an email yesterday from a A.C. who has bought the Frankensteins from you and he`s quite happy. He contacted me via audiogon for my impression of these amplifiers. I simply told him that it was one of the best audio components i`ve ever experience regardless of cost and that it single-handedly elevated my entire system with it`s insertion. I also told him to expect great service and response as a Coincident owner. Well I guess Imade a favorable impression.

Best Regards
C.W. (Michigan)

Hi Israel,

Let me say at the very beginning that I am absolutely delighted with their sound. They drive my Rogers LS3/5a perfectly, as you guessed, and the sound is simply the best I have ever had in my listening room by far. These 8 watts have an authority and dynamics that none of my higher wattage amplifiers ever had. Amazing! They also have the lowest noise floor I have ever experienced in my audiophile life. The soundstage is the deppest and widest I ever experienced in my listening room and I can hear more low level detail than ever (reverbs, spatial cues, decays). Voices sound so real that it is almost scary! The only slight criticism I would mention is that the treble extension is not equivalent to the bass extension, which is incredible. To sum it up, THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST RELEVANT IMPROVEMENT IN MY SYSTEM EVER! MY WARMEST CONGRATULATION FOR THIS FANTASTIC DESIGN! I am SOOOOO happy that I decided to try the Frankensteins. I decided to make this move solely based on A. Salvatores review, which is something I have never done in my life. But the risk has been rewarded with this major surprise!

A.G. (Spain)

The Coincident Statement Line Stage :

For your information the burn-in period is now above 100 hours and the Statement Line Stage is already so much "better" than theC-J Act2 Series 2,
I am really amazed !
The Line Stage and the Franks are the two High-End products that has impressed me the most over the last 25 years !
(- As always...I prefer to be an anonymous audiophile )

( name with held by request) Norway

Hello Israel

These amplifiers are simply superb and are everything you and current owners promised. They are without a doubt the most transparent ,organic and natural sounding amps I have ever heard and I mean .ever. They are even more dynamic than my Response Audio Bella 100 watt amp and get this, they seem more dynamic then my good friends VAC Phi 300.1 mono blocks! They are just marvelous with my TotalEclipse2 speakers.I am so happy with these amplifiers and want to thank you for all of the time, effort and patience it required for the finished product you produced WELL DONE!

C.W. (Orchard Lake, MI)

After 15 years of upgrading to more and more powerful tube amplifiers,
last week I was going to upgrade yet again to a more powerful set of
amplifiers, to try and get closer to the music that I love.

The New Zealand Coincident dealer, Peter Hardie, of Reference Audio
Systems, had a set of them in stock( Frankenstein 300B amps) and let me have a home trial, for the weekend, with a pair of suitable speakers. I was dissapointed with
the overall sound, and was packing them up to take back to him, and
thought I would have a quick listen to them, with my Magneplaner 1.6
speakers, out of curiosity.

I could not even imagine how a set of 9 watt amplifiers could sound
so good with 86db speakers, however I was shocked by the outcome. It
is hard to describe the improvement however my music now sounds so
natural and wonderful, that I am buying the amplifiers and will run
them with the Maggies for the interum, until I buy a set of
Coincident speakers or similar later this year."

I am still coming to grips with how good the Frankeinstiens sound in my system.
They are fantastic!

Kind Regards
PB (Auckland, New Zealand)

Hi Israel,
Got the amps on January 21, 2009. They sound AMAZING!! Now gotta save up for one of Coincident Speakers.

A.V. (Daly City, CA)

Hi Israel, I did some listening with your Frankensteins and I am impressed. I did not know that S.E. could sound so natural and light with a realistic dynamic expression that is quite realistic. The bass is fine with plenty of detail and the highs are so free and easy. It really shows me the colorations that solidstate amps add by adding an electric 'zip' to the sound as if it is being accelerated and pushed. I know that gain can be heard as an effect which seems to push detail at you forsaking the sense of depth and the proto has no such faults. My only S.E. experiences were at past Hi-Fi shows from the 1990's and the S.E. rooms were always so rich and thick with coloration, it had nothing to do with reality and was like a cartoon of sound. I never understood how people swooned over it just for the 'magic' midrange they forsook everything for. Your amp is good top to bottom as it should be, which shows your keen understanding of linearity. I am impressed. Mission accomplished!

JF (Passadena, CA)

Cannot believe the bass on these amps. Better than my solid state amp. With my Pure Reference, I would not consider biamping. These Frankensteins are amazing. Wow!
G.J. (Houston, TX)

Thank you for designing such a great amplifier. Here everybody believes that Wavac is the most transparent amps ever made which I have 805 monos but after meeting with your amps (1/4 prise of Wavac) I am still trying to sell them. They are best till today with my Total eclipse 2 speakers.I have many other speakers and speakers (for ex Verity Sarastro) but I couldn't pass your combination.

MK- (Turkey)

Dear Israel,
I was sceptical about selling my Hurricanes and getting the Coincident amps. The match between my Super Eclipse III and the Hurricanes was exceptional. However, I took your advice and replaced them with your amps. Well, they are everything you said they would be. Greater transparency, more detail, more liduidity in the midrange, far better separation of instruments, a huge lowering of the noise floor so that space between notes is blacker and overall a much more enhanced sense of neutrality. Almost no downside. I was worried that dynamics and bass response might be compromised but to my pleasant surprise, this was not the case. If anything, the quality of the bass is noticeably superior. More articulation and tighter. After experiencing the Coincident amps, I could never go back to the Hurricanes and be happy. These are the finest amps I have ever heard. As always, thanks for everything.
MG (Calgary,AB)

Hi Mr Blume,
I have received the amps two days ago. Stunning, despite no burn yet, I suppose. Better dimamics than your/my old 300B amps with Totals I use with Gallo 3,1 for my my living room, one very hungry speakers 88DB, wich I cant divre with one other tube amps. Your amps drive them with any stress at normal-high levels....
RZ (Spain)

Hello Isreal,
Those amps are something incredible and they have opened up considerably. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement.

Turbo 845SE

25th Anniversary Edition

Hi Israel,

I am writing you a quick note just to let you how how ecstatic I am with my Turbo 845 SE 25th Anniversary Edition monoblock amps.

I have been on a never ending quest for the best audio sound for the the last 30 plus years. I truly believe that I have struck audio nirvana and that my quest is finally over.

These Anniversary amps are something really special in the audio world.

Having owned and loved the the Frankenstein MK2, which are in my opinion, the best 300B amps available at any price, upgrading to a better amp seemed like and impossible feat. However Mr. Blume, you made it possible and have outdone yourself, once again.

This accomplishment is no easy task when one considers how amazing the Frankenstein amps really are.

The new 845 Special Edition Anniversary amps embody all the positive attributes that music lovers rave about in 300B amps, but these “special” amps really take the music to the next level. The music played through these new amps takes on a level of realism seldom heard on any system.

The impact and transient speed and energy are unbelievable. The Anniversary amps have an extremely palpable midrange like the the best 300 b amps would except with the overall music is delivered with much more extension, weight , impact and authority than any 300b amp could. The power combined with an incredibly low noise floor help create a transparent sound with the most realistic soundstage ever.

I believe that it is these attributes combined with the amp’s overall harmonic completeness coupled with its explosive attack that have created this uncanny sense of realism.

I don’t know how you were able to achieve such a feat , but somehow you did.

I want to thank you for helping me reach my audio dreams by designing such a magnificent masterpiece.

These truly are "Special" amplifiers and I recommend them to anyone who is serious about obtaining the finest audio experience possible.

Kudos to you Mr. Blume
…….and Happy Anniversary!

Triumph Extreme II

Dear Israel,

I'm a ruined man. You've ruined me. I cannot even *bear* to listen to my old Triumph Signatures, which now sound like there's a blanket that's been dropped on them. The new Triumphs, driven by the Franks, are that good; and then the Extremes, with the Triumphs, a new level far beyond.

So I am ruined: when I listen to any other system, I can remember what it sounded like at home, and I'm ruined.

How can this be possible?

Best, R.B. (Weston, MA)

I purchased a pair of Triumphs recently from Israel and am ecstatic with their performance. For such a small speaker they do all the things that a Coincident speaker typically does.
IE; they create a coherent stable sound stage. Dynamics, transparency and imaging are better than other manufacturers in the industry in the same price category by a long shot. .

The attention to detail in the driver components cross over and cabinetry make all the difference. If you don’t get all 3 right after a period of time the novelty of shear dynamics or imaging or transparency or… will wear off and the listener can be left dissatisfied with their purchase. I have never heard a Coincident Speaker that doesn’t have this coherency, albeit increasing in price when larger cabinets and more expensive drivers and crossovers are employed. I have lived with a number of Coincident speakers over the last 7 years and have purchased different designs as my budget allowed. Never once have I been unhappy. They seem to get it right each time.

To explain how well the Triumphs are: I was in Toronto in March this year listening to Israel’s new Pure Reference Extremes (unbelievable speakers). I noticed a pair of Triumphs sitting off to the side. I asked if we could have a listen to them. Israel obliged but with a caveat to remember we had been listening to $26,000.00 speakers. We hooked up the Triumphs and I was amazed! It had the Coincident coherency and exceptional articulate bass for such a small speaker. Even though the bass is rated to a frequency of 45 Hz it seemed to reach further. I think Israel was even a little surprised as to how well they stood up in direct contrast to speakers 13 times the price. I was so impressed I bought a pair.

MH- (Langley, B.C)

We have broken the speakers in and they sound fine, clear and coherent and they have bigger soundstage one could expect considering their size. The overall sound is very realistic from tuneful bass to accurate, not a bit harsh highs and they represent the vocals extremely pleasing.
JL (Finland)

I have to say I think the Extreme speakers I have are the best sounding monitors I have tried in my system. Over the last few years I have tried 11 different monitors including the Reference 3A MM De Capo i, Cabasse Goelette 500 and Reimer McCullough GS, to name some of the better ones. To my ear the Triumph Extreme's beat the others in transparency, imaging and detail.
GR (CA.)

Dear Mr. Blume;
The Triumph speakers have just thrilled me with the Bernstein/Vienna Mozart K.504; earlier today Berlioz' R&J, Munch/Boston. Through the Triumphs and the MP 300 Bs I've enjoyed - first in Vancouver, B.C., now at home in Oregon - a wide variety of music which has made me smile and relax and (don't play with this image too much) dance about joyfully.
Thanks. And thanks.
Stage, amazing sound pressure levels and air are the characteristics I notice most readily, but this combination doesn't invite a whole lot of thinking about the sound; these components are simply art in the service of Art.
Soon - the speaker cables and power cords.
In gratitude and admiration,
David Ogden Stiers

Triump Signature UHS - Beautiful Sound!
I've had the speakers for three weeks, they are completely broken in, and the sound is wonderful. I'm driving the speakers with a fully differentially balanced, push-pull 2A3 mono block 10 watt triode amplifiers.
I am achieving excellent sound in a 4400 cubic foot room. In fact, it's the best I've ever heard in my listening room!
Great product at a reasonable price.
Thanks for a great product.

Omigod. The Triumphs Aptly Named
Even though not yet broken in by your hourly standard, I am sitting here having goosebumps regularly induced by the Munch/Boston Daphnis and Chloe recording from, when, '62? At most moments in this system the speakers are, while perfectly coherent and quite revealing, exhibit at the same time a gentle and gracious anonymity. I am gobsmacked. The recording shows its age at climaxes what with the limitations of tape even in the wizardly hands of Pfeiffer and Mohr, but, may I speak frankly? - Golly! they are impressive at all points. Little 'on-the-road-system' indeed. If I may, I'll comment on them down the break-in road.
Thank you, Mr. Blume in Toronto.
DOS (LA, CA)

Thanks, Israel. I'm not in the market for a mini-sub at the moment, but I'm delighted with the Triumph Signatures out of the box. The Signatures, a Cary 300SEI, and a Wadia 861 comprise my office system. My home system is Avalon Eidolons driven by ARC Ref. 300's, etc., but thanks to you I don't feel deprived working nights and weekends at the office.
AF (CA)

Thanks for all of your assistance with assembling my budget reference system.I've had systems costing $10,000- $15,000 that I haven't enjoyed this much.
SH (Newcastle,DE)

It is appreciated that you can build such a great product for a reasonable price. For people on a budget, like me, that is a great thing to discover.
RC (Walpole,Mass)

In the past few days we enjoyed your speakers even more than we expeced. They are outstanding, too good to be true. They sounded amazingly good from the first record we played.Every kind of music sounds great on these speakers, classical, popular, jazz ,choral etc.We wonder how you manage to build these speakers for this kind of money.
PassionAudio (The Netherlands)

... As a musician, I know what cymbals sound like and the Triumph's get it right. But I can see how someone who is not used to hearing that much information revealed may mistake it for grain.
Moving to the midrange, it is just what I want from a speaker. Piano, vocals, guitar, sax - you name it, they sound right. I can't even begin to list the superlatives for the midrange, so I won't even try.
The bass is amazing... I love the way it is impactful without affecting the quality of the midrange... A toe-tapping speaker if I have ever heard one!
The most remarkable quality that I have noticed is a lack of congestion... Every instrument and voice is clearly defined as separate from each other.
That's my first week of listening. I look forward to many years to come!
S.C.W. (CA)

... the speakers are just wonderful. While I got very good sound from the Vandersteen 2Cs, the Triumphs are better.
Better soundstage...left/right/front/back...instruments are wider apart and more stationery. Center vocals or instruments are more 'there.' Where's the sound coming from? These guys just disappear.
Better bass...while the 2Cs had deeper bass, it was not as well-controlled as that presented by the Triumphs. The bass is more appealing and less boomy.
... I can 'sense' in what type of room the performance was recorded in much better.
I like the way they look. The finish is excellent.
All told, this is pretty good for a speaker that cost $500 less than the 2Cs which were purchased almost 10 years ago. I can't wait until they are fully broken-in.
Thanks again for making an affordable hi-end product that brings out the best in the entire chain. I'm enjoying my setup all over again.
J.R. (IL)

... Your Triumphs are really impressive! I am not a 'monitor guy' but was really blown away by the 'big speaker' sound those things produce. Good job! Wow, a little speaker that sounds great and doesn't cost 2,000 very refreshing.
M.O. (PN)

Seasons greetings to you. It's January 02, 2001, and I've just had my third Gin and Tonic. Eric Clapton is singing on my Triumph Signatures and I felt I should send you a short note to say thank you. I think I pissed you off in late 1998, asking if your speakers could exceed my vintage LS3/5A's. I still remember how you chided me by saying if you couldn't build a better speaker than the LS3/5A , then you wouldn't be in business! Anyways, I just thought you'd like to know that although you recommend your speakers with a minimum power of 7 watts RMS, I have been enjoying them for a year or more now, on a pair of Decware SET amps, bridged for monobloc with a whopping output of 3 or 4 watts RMS per channel. They sound fucking lover-ly. I have been recommmending them on the Steve's Deckert's site and I hope to hell people have been listening and buying your speakers, even though I am trying to offer modest competition with my line of PassionSpeaks. PasssionSpeaks says you? What are they? Nothing major says I, just a Voight Pipe with a difference. Not even in the shadow of your lowest Signatures, but a nice combination of art and audio. Good for the mid-fi masses who don't listen. Anyways, you are totally scratching your head now wondering what is the point of this. No point at all. Just to say your Coincident Technology Triumphs Signatures, sound bloody marvellous on 3.8 watts per channel. Use this information as you will and if it gives you an extra sale, then great, you deserve it for making something special. Ciao, Shalom, Arrivederci, thanks.
G.J.M. (Ont.)

Well it's been two weeks since I removed the Mirage's. The Triumph Grands are one hell of a nice product! I have never gotten the soundstage depth and width in my listening room that I always heard at the dealers. They do disappear as they should. Outstanding detail, things I have never heard on CD's I know well. They rejuvenated my set up completely. Oh do they make vinyl sound good. I have a REGA Planar 3 so VTA cannot be adjusted. Usually this sound staging comes from this adjustment. It was just there from the first play.
Anyway, I believe I made a wise purchase and will enjoy them for more than the next few years.
D.R.N. (MA)

... the Triumphs are fun because of the many things they do that are musically pleasing. Despite their relative size - it's a killer product.
B.W. (MN)

They're beautiful!! Thank's for making such a great product.
T.B. (CA)

hello from Arkansas. it's been a while, and you've been a busy lad. so much of my gear has changed, but not my Triumphs. thank you so much for years of listening pleasure.
B.S (AK)

... I thought the Triumphs an improvement over the Tukans, but the synergy between this amp and speaker takes it to a new level. I haven't gotten any work done today because I've been re-listening to all my CDs.
Again, I'm really impressed with the speakers.
Also, the bass response is fine. The Tukans give the illusion of comparible bass, but I suspect there is some lower mid exaggeration that makes the bass attack more noticable, but it's not as extended. I haven't bothered with the subwoofer in a while...
... the Triumphs sound better than ever with the 8 watt Audio Notes.
I'm also continually amazed with the Triumphs as I upgrade components.
A.J. (NC)

Once again I find myself enjoying my Triumph speakers. Sitting at home listening to the pristine voices of Loreena McKinnett or Sarah McLaughlin. I marvel at the depth, tone, balance and presence of these superb speakers. We viewed MISSION IMPOSSIBLE (ala Tom Cruise) last night, filled with explosions, music, etc. The experience was truely remarkable. As I mentioned in earlier correspondance, I have added a Sunfire True Sub for the lower end extension, but found that as I tested the combination for crossover accuracy between the Sub and the Triumphs with the Stereophile Test Disc 2, the Triumphs (all 5 of them) when placed carefully carried strong bass to between 40-45 hz, and that I needed the Sunfire only for the lowest registers. Truly, unless one is a complete bass freak, or want's to put some 'whup-ass' into movie explosions, the Triumph home theatre set up will handle almost all movie requirements, and definitely all musical requirements without sweat. (I know that you know this!) I continue to marvel and be completely satisfied with this extremely reasonably (and if truth be told, INEXPENSIVE) purchase from you company.
I continue to get great pleasure from your speakers. I consider them an unbelievable value, especially when purchased as a surround sound grouping. I can think of no other speakers that offer the value and performance for the money, (and I've searched hard). Thanks for all the personal attention that you have given me.
W.S. (AK)

... after having only about 12 hours of playing time, I am pleased to report that these speakers are incredible. I can't wait to get them properly 'burned in.' I was given a pair of PSB Stratus Minis to audition this weekend and even though they are demos and have a fair number of hours on them, there just is no comparison. The Triumphs literally blew them away. I am hearing my CDs for the first time! Thanks for the great speaker!!
J.R. (OH)

... These speakers are absolutely astonishing! I've certainly never heard another speaker that even comes close to them (Triumph Signatures).
... I get goose bumps every time I listen to them. Their superiority is instantly obvious as soon as I turn them on.
... Frankly I had come to believe that a speaker that sounds this good could never be built, or if it could, would surely have an astronmical price. The fact that you have created such a speaker, and it's affordable, is proof you're a genius as a designer.
C.B.H. (TX)

I can't believe how good this speaker is (Mini Triumph). Every time I listen I am blown away. How can you do it for so little money?
T.W. (IL)

The Mini Triumphs are incredible. I listened for 8 hours straight last night and not only did I not tire of the sound, I wanted to continue to listen. It plays all music beautifully. I could not be happier with this purchase. Thanks very much.
D.L. (CA)

Beautiful and great sound. Thank you. (Triumph Signatures)
G.D. (VA)

I just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying the Triumphs. The midrange, especially, is outstanding -- crystal clear and 3 dimensional. Also, thanks for the personal attention over the phone, it really makes the buying experience much more pleasant. You told me that Coincident buyers often keep in touch and also let prospective purchasers know how they like their speakers; feel free to add me to that list.
J.R. (PA)

BTW ..... Even though they are not nearly broken in, the Tri Sigs sound wonderful. Two of my music loving friends have been in my listening room recently and proclaimed the sound to be the best they have heard. And they both have very good ears. At this point, I have to wonder ..... just how good are the Total Eclipses? .
R.R.

Hi, I just bought your Conquest Speakers and I am glad to let you know, (as if you didn't), that they are just beautiful sounding speakers. I could say a few more great things, but I will just make it short.
C.M

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased I am with the Conquests... The speakers are full with no loss of highs and not at all harsh.
D.S. (TX)

The Conquests are beautiful but more importantly, the sound is the best I have heard anywhere near the price. Far superior to the Meadowlark Shearwaters and destroys the Paradigms. No contest. The detail and imaging is remarkable and I am most impressed with the bass extension. This is real bass. My wife and I are thrilled with our purchase.
W.B. (OR)

My wife and I auditioned several speakers before trying the Conquests. We heard the Meadowlark Shearwater, several Paradigm models, a couple of Thiels and the Audio Physic Step. We wanted a floorstanding speaker for aesthetic reasons but I must say the ProAc Response 1 was terrific; though it didn't fit with our goal. The Conquests are simply the most musically involving of all the speakers we heard. It doesn't have that overly Hi-Fi sound that becomes uninvolving very quickly. The Conquests are very sensitive and will be easily drivien by the Mesa Engineering integrated amp we plan on purchasing soon. Coincident finishes these speakers in a dark cherrywood - very impressive workmanship. We are looking for a new CD player (Alchemist Nexus or ?) and would welcome all input. Once again, the Conquests are wonderful music makers.... Check them out ! I give them 5 very satisfied stars.
W.B (OR)

It has been a year and a half since I bought the Conquests and I love them more than ever. Everyone who comes over is blown away by how beautiful the cherrywood finish is but more importantly how great they sound. I listen to alot of jazz and very few speakers get the sound of horns correctly. The Conquest does. I plan on keeping these speakers for many more years.
R.B. (MN)

I just purchased a pair of Conquests as demos from a dealer. My amplifiers, Cary 572's arrived last Friday. Oh, let me take this time to tell you how wonderful my Conquests sound, especially paired with the Cary's. Balanced, from top to bottom. Vocals are simply amazing. Good recordings sound fantastic. Bad recordings sound, well . . . bad. When there is bass in the music, they reveal it. When the recording is deficient, that is revealed as well. No editorializing at all, just honest music. Very
dynamic, even with only 20 watts.
D.B (NY)

I am impressed with the many points of quality craftsmanship that go into your loudspeakers. I don't think I've heard George Duke and Stanley Clarke sound this good before.
J.M. (CO)

I enjoyed reading the review of the Super Conquest and your follow-up comments. I have a set of Super Conquests connected to a Byston B-60 integrated amp and a Meridian 508\24 CD player. The sound has been excellent. The sense of space and clarity are two elements that we particularly enjoy.
I also later bought the optional speaker grills. They have been a fine investment for me when ever my two-year old nephew visits (otherwise they stay off) - Yes they can withstand the direct hit of two year old and protect the speaker as well. Great Speakers!
J.P. (DC)

Israel,
I have been running the Eclipse lll speakers for a few months now. I cannot say enough good things about these speakers. Non fatiguing, involving, superior resolution etc...
CK (MA)

Hi Israel,
Thank you so much for the wonderful Super Eclipse III speakers you sent me some 18 months ago.
They have given me many many hours of aural pleasure...performing fantastically across the full musical spectrum, although set-up is critical to get the best out of them.
With female vocal, chamber orchestration, jazz, and pop rock driven with SETs, I don't think they could be bettered in an average sized living room.
I really enjoy listening to live music, but I am always impressed just how close the speakers come to recreating that 'Live' experience.

SH (Sydney, Australia)

"...but I gotta tell you.....as you have been told before, but it bears repeating....the speakers are awesome.
I've got them paired with my Cary SLI-Signature, VPI Scout turntable with a PS Audio GCPH phonostage, and Sony XA9000es SACD player and I don't think I would trade for many systems that I have heard that cost several times the price. Your speakers were the perfect, synergistic compliment to my system to achieve the sound that I was striving for.
Much continued success!
Regards, Jami

Dear Israel,
I received the new feet yesterday. Thank you for your prompt shipment. I mounted them immediately and listened for two hours. I'm delighted in all respects: my Super Eclipse IIIs have never looked or sounded so good. The feet did allow the speakers to deliver more extended, authoritative, detailed bass. Recently I've improved the capacitors and tubes in my monoblocks. Each of these improvements has allowed the Super Eclipses to show more of what they are capable. I'm sure I haven't heard them at their best yet. But what I am listening to now is very close to what we heard at your 2005 CES exhibit.
I note that your US dealer network is not extensive enought to allow many potential cusomers to audition your products without traveling a long distance. If a potential customer lives near to Sacramento, CA, I would be happy to invite them to listen to the speakers in my system. I am not making a business proposal here. Rather, because I'm delighted to own your products, I would like to support your work.
Best regards,
Rand Anderson

Hello Mr. Blume,
I have written you an email once before thanking you for producing such amazing loudspeakers. I just wanted to share a small story with you that I hope you will enjoy. My name is Nick Goode and I live in Troy, Michigan. I have always been a huge music fan and have had an affection for home audio equipment since I can remember.
A friend of mine turned me on to hifi about one year ago. Before listening to some B&W and Martin Logan products I thought Best Buy carried the high end audio equipment. I was lucky enough to get a chance to listen to your Total Eclipse LCR speakers. I chose those speakers over everything else I had heard to that point. I haven't made the jump into tube electronics but I don't doubt eventually I will.
I have used these speakers with great joy over the last year. I had tried to move up your line of speakers to a full range model. Unfortunately I am still a college student and working full time and
cannot afford to buy your speakers brand new. I saw an ad on Audiogon for the Super Eclipse. I contacted the person who was offering them for sale. He responded via email and I ended up agreeing to purchase the speakers. The person I bought the speakers from lives in New Hampshire.
I took the weekend off work and drove from Detroit, Michigan to New Hampshire. I left saturday morning and returned monday at 2:30 am very weary. I have to tell you that is the most driving I have ever done in my 27 years. It was worth every minute I spent driving across a large part of the United States. My parents and friends thought I was crazy. I knew these were the speakers for me. Lucky for me the person who I purchased them from had treated them like I have and will continue to. They are the rosenut finish and aren't the newest version. They do have TRS marked on the back and are single wire.
I am using an older Krell ss amp and a Krell preamp. The music I hear is absolutely amazing. I just want to thank you for the enjoyment your speakers give me each and every time I listen to them. Keep up the great work. If I ever decide to replace these or if I ever do purchase new speakers I won't even consider another brand. When I say I can't afford your speakers new retail that isn't to say I don't think they are worth it. I know your speakers represent one of the best values in audio. I always talk about your products with friends who can't believe their ears after listening to them. Thanks and I wish you continued success in the future. If you are ever in the Detroit area please don't hesitate to contact me xxx-xxx-xxxx(business) xxx-xxx-xxxx(home). I would be happy to take you out to a nice dinner as a way of saying thanks for the smile your Super Eclipse and Total Eclipse speakers have put on my face.
Thank you so much,
Nick Goode (Troy, Michigan)

Hello Israel;
Just a note to let you know how delighted I am with the new speakers. They have over 120 hours of playing time, and now play music in my listening room the way I could until recently only imagine! From top to bottom, beautiful and harmonically rich tonality, spacious soundscape, and I could not be happier. I'm listening through a 4 foot length of non descript wire, and I am quite anxious to hear what the TRS cables can do. I can't imagine how it gets better. Can you let me know when you are ready to ship them?
Again thanks for a very fine product!
Sincerely;
GC (Ottawa, ON)

Israel,
My impression of SE so far: They are fantastic! The sound is so PURE and TRANSPARENT! I really like my purchase! Thanks for the excellent speakers you designed and build.
Thanks again.
AY (Trumball, CT )

Hi Israel,
The speakers have really opened up and I could not be happier with them. They are very detailed and yet not the least bit bright. I don't know how the build quality of the cabinets could be any better. I have already recommended them to a guy on audio asylum via e-mail. He posted a question about the S.E. at the speaker asylum. The Atma-sphere m60MKII.2 are a wonderful match with them, as you said, a match made in heaven.
Keep up the good work!!!
B & K J (Mn)

My Super Eclipses are un-believable! The bass just came in, and I am blown away by them more and more as they continue to break in. Music, music, music! Speakers just evaporate and leave the musicians to do their thing. Good Job.
RB (Montana)

I've been using your speakers and only your speakers for what, two years now? I lent them to my friend and have been using his Inner Sound electrostats and now I found out all over again just how great your speakers sound. And I've got to tell you these electrostats are the absolute worst sounding speakers I've ever heard in my life, and that's with two different tube amps, and also a McCormick SS amp. Lower midrange sounds like a Styrofoam cup, just unbelievably bad, I've done every trick in the book to try to make them work. The weird part is as usual, they seem to get great reviews...those people must be deaf, or have such rotten amplifiers that they can't tell the difference. I'd really love to see how they stand up to some measurements, and I am only curious what causes that horrid Styrofoam cup quality in the midrange. Keep up the great work!
Best Always, Best Always,
M J K (CA.)

I just want to let you know that your Super Eclipses are giving me tremendous musical satisfaction.Thank you for giving me the opportunity to own such a wonderful product and keep up the good work.
RS (Mtl,Que.)

Super Eclipse (w/revised Total Eclipse Tweeter)

The new speakers' performance has been exceptional in every way.
PB (Minn)

I have to tell you .You are a really bad guy. Why? For sending me such wonderful speakers that all I want to do is listen to music when I should be working, playing with the family ,(insert other life events here).
At the moment I have no ability to place them properly and the speaker wire is not broken in.Nevertheless ,they were marvelous from the start. My wife and I could not get up from the couch. In the middle of the day, with both of us having a busy afternoon schedule,we put on Saint Saens' Organ Symphony and could not get up.Chill bumps everywhere. The kids, even in their rooms ,kept coming in to dance. They couldn't help themselves.
I think I should send you more money.Speakers this good must cost more than this! I have listened to most of the name brands in this price range(and considerably more)and now I do not wonder why you receive the compliments awarded you almost daily.
For example,I have heard the Audio Physics Virgo many times.Similiar price and highly sought ,praised in all circles.Compared to these Super Eclipse the Virgo sounds thin and un-dynamic.And that's after really wanting to like the Virgos more.I also very much wanted to have the Vienna Acoustics Mahler(approx US $9,000 per pair)sound better than the Super Eclipse , since I really like their look and size.It wasn't to be.The Mahler is not in the same league with the Super Eclipse, despite the much lower price.Compared to the Super Eclipse they sounded flat and lacking in depth ,dynamics and bass response(that clean, tight bass that is now coming from the SE).I must admit, you were also right about the Revel Studios.Even though very dynamic, with a full frequency response, the Super Eclipse keep up with them in both regards and best the Studios in balance(across the whole spectrum ) and tonal accuracy.
Thank you so much ,Israel. You deserve the praise from from Paul and all the others that have auditioned this wonderful product.
RS (Katy ,TX)

First I'd like to thank you for many wonderful contributions to the audio world.I love your speakers.I've heard the Triumph Signatures and Super Eclipses.I can describe my experience listening to them in two words, goose bumps.I just bought your CST interconnect and I'm very happy with them.
NG (Tor.,Ont.)

Two years of dreaming about owning a pair of Eclipses did NOT in any way make for an anti-climatic experience.I was instantly greeted with the most intoxicating sonic experience I've ever had.I'm truly at a loss for words. My little modified Jolida 502 (which I still love)just came to life and the combination of such a refereshingly natural, unforced ,high end with uncanny clarity is just spectacular.Transistion from the lowest to highest frequences is absolutely seamless.Off axis response is superb and they are very unfussy about listening position ,though of course dead center is best. They sound fantastic even when I'm out in the kitchen!.It's ironic they are smaller than my old Thiel 3.0s yet sound vastly bigger and more authoritative!I know my old Thiels (the CS3.0)suffered from what everyone hates about Thiels, but I THOUGHT I had dialed everything in to live with them and I THOUGHT I had actually coaxed a pleasing presentation out of them.In fairness to them, when people came over, they usually commented that they were the best they had ever heard Thiels sound, but tipped up they still were. But still,in contrast to your speakers, the Thiels literally sound like they have white noise blended into the tweeter all the time, and I realize I have been clenching my fists and gritting my teeth for 5 damn years!
Deep bass was also almost non-existant in the Thiels. I noticed another interesting thing: I can sit two feet in front of your speakers and they still sound so clear, coherent and undistorted. You can practically watch the soundstage form like a hologram from any listening position. With my Thiels ,they literally sounded like shattering glass if you went right up to them, only far away in and only dead center did they become tolerable.I guess I justified the magnifying glass effect my Thiels always had from what sounds like about 2K on up since I figured they made a good diagnostic tool for evaluating different cable designs. But frankly I was burying my head in the sand and was freakn SUFFERING all this time!
Your speakers are simply not like anything else out there. The reason I kept the Thiels so long is because honestly, nothing else I have listened to really appealed to me anyway. Most other speakers I have heard had way too many other dissapointing qualities despite a more cooled off high-end that I desperately needed.
It took very minimal positioning to get them right... bass was a bit too thick and out of control when I tried them firing in, so out and with a slight toe-in did the job in my room. This is really something.Five years of fiddling with power, cables, digital front ends,pre-amps yes other amps too and nothing comes close to the sonic revelation I've experienced with these speakers,it's pure audio heaven!I will take these speakers to my grave! These sound SO wonderful and bass is so rich the way they sit now.
Well, this is really great Israel.I can't thank you enough. What you have really done is also re-kindle my passion for audio again. So Thank You,Thank you Thank You!
MK (CA ).

The Super Eclipse is a winner! Even not yet broken in, their superior qualities shine-crystalline sonics, that pristine midrange!! I am enjoying them a lot. Thanks for your help in making this possible for me.
L.L (MD)

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that my Super Eclipse speakers are pretty much broken in, and that they sound utterly superb. I never thought that my OTL amps could sound so fast, relaxed, and transparent. I am literally up until 2:00 to 3:00 am in the morning most nights listening to these speakers, I can't turn them off.
I am forever in debted to you, we met by chance at Hi-Fi 99, I am finally 100% satisfied with my system.
God bless you and I wish you every success possible, you deserve it.
A.L (NY)

Well, Israel, your speakers are driving my crazy. They are too good.
Last night, I sat down to listen to a used album that I had just bought. It didn't sound quite right. So I made a small adjustment to the VTA and things clicked in place. This got me frustrated because I had spent several evenings adjusting the VTA to make sure it is well set. I have always used two settings -- one for ordinary vinyl and one for audiophile 180 gram vinyl.
After setting the old (original -- probably from the 1960's) Capital record (Nat King Cole, Live at the Sands), I went back to check the adjustment against the test album (a Capital reissue from 1984) that I had been using for ordinary vinyl. As soon as I took the test album, I realized that it was slightly thinner than the Nat King Cole album. Sure enough, the setting on the Cole album was correct, as was the setting on the test album.
With my old speakers, I never noticed this fine a difference. I'm amazed that I can hear it, but I can on your speakers. so now, I will try to live with three settlings for VTA instead of two.
R.G (MD)

I absolutely love them (Super Eclipse speakers). They are the best speakers I've ever heard, better than Polk SDA SRSII, Dynaudio Contour 1.3, Tannoy D500, and Proac 3.8 speakers which I've either owned or auditioned over the past 6 months. The bass is amazing coming from two eight inch woofers per speaker, tight and accurate. The mids and highs are superb. I'm hearing sounds from these speakers on various CD's I never heard with any other speakers. They are totally seamless in both the low and high crossovers. My kids, who really like speakers that pound out a lot of bass and tend to use subwoofers, can't believe how much base I get from these speakers. It sounds better than any combination of speakers they've heard even with the use of a subwoofer to boot. They're great!
J.Q. (WI)

Israel,
I have had my extender feet with oversized spikes installed on my Total Eclipses for almost a week now. What a difference!
I can’t wipe the silly grin off my face when I get home from work and fire up my system to listen. My wife and dogs miss me! But I just can’t believe the difference!
Wow, and thanks!
K.G. (FL)

The feet made a HUGE difference.  I am like everyone
else.  I buy tweaks that are supposed to do something positive and think I
hear a difference when the tweak is in place.  This was not subtle.  The
bass tightened up considerably and became more authoritative.  I am
genuinely impressed.
John

Hi Israel,
I also wanted to say thanks for the new extender feet and large spikes for my speakers, they really do make a big difference. I am truly impressed. I hear a definite improvement in bass, clarity and more precise imaging. It's hard to describe what I'm hearing, but the music seems to be more alive. They look very attractive as well. This is definitely a worthwhile upgrade. I would recommend this to any Coincident Speaker owner.
Regards,
Tony

Israel,
The differences I notice are not particularly in the bass, but more in the presentation, more inner detail and a sharper ring to instruments like vibes or piano (for example - Geri Allen, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette - "The Life of a Song" on a superb Telarc SACD). There is a more realism, and a
slightly more relaxed feel to the music, slightly fuller, more fleshed out images. Yes, the bass is better too.
I never had a problem with the small brass feet through my carpet, and I had a solid mounting with virtually no wiggle. I don't have kids, so I never had to worry about the slightly "tippy" nature of the Super Eclipse. But I do appreciate the better mounting system. The weight of the speakers has been
working to my advantage over a day since I installed the Feet, and now the speakers are rock solid, and I can't feel them move at all when I try to do so at the top - this is slightly better than before I fitted the Extender Feet. I think the Large Cones are an improvement too.
On the cosmetic front, the Extender Feet make the Supers look a little more balanced. I think they look very cool, the matt black ones really suit my black Eclipses, and the appearance is nicer where the speaker meets the carpet - the small gap between the base of the speaker and the carpet is more aesthetic. It's going to be easier to run the vacuum cleaner around the speakers too - I was always worried about marking the finish when doing the carpet.
I'll be recommending this upgrade to any Super Eclipse owners I come across on AudiogoN or Audio Asylum (I've just done so for a poster on AudiogoN). Great service and a great product.
Regards,

Hi Israel,

It just occurred to me that you might like to know how much I am enjoying your speakers. They have been in constant use since their arrival here and are presently proving very helpful in the development of my S10 - my final word on 'the art of the record player' - and, as such, proving themselves very well ...

I must congratulate you on having done a good job, well - and to thank you also for giving me the opportunity to learn more about my own work as a result.

Cheers,
Simon Yorke (Great Britain)

Mr. Blume:
I purchased the Total Eclipse II from you around March of this year and it took a while for me to accumulate 100 hours playing time. It finally has broken in and I thought I provide my thought on them. The bottom line first: I really got what I paid for and then some. I am very happy I made the purchase. Here is why:

  • Sound stage – deep and wide, sometimes the sound seems to be next to me. Unbelievable! And I fit them in my small 11’ by 11’ room which is not ideal.

  • Separations – I can hear a lot more details from my records. Background vocals and other instruments are now very distinct.

  • Dynamics – Talk about improvement, this is the area where my old speaker (Martin Logan Aeons) did not even come close. I now hear initial impact of the drums, guitar strings and big climaxes. I wonder if this is due to the high efficiency of the speakers.

  • Rightness of music – I think this involves the harmonics of all the sounds. The music sound so right now and very natural.

  • Overall value – I really enjoy my music with the TE2 and would buy it anytime. I think it can match speakers at twice of its price. I hope you will not raise the price because of this comment though.
  • Customer service – Last but definitely not last is the company’s (you personally) total believe/action to ensure everything is right and the customer is completely happy.

I could not thank you and Coincident enough for allowing me to have such high enjoyment to the music. I would look forward to CES 2008 to audition other products from Coincident and shake your hand in person. THANKS!
Sincerely,

WN (VA, USA)

Israel,

Let me start by saying that your products are OUTSTANDING!! I recently
purchased a used pair of Totals and immediately fell in love. (they are
big though!!) I am interested in your other products as well Super III's
and LCR's ur consideration.

Regards,
KK (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)

Dear Israel,
Was listening to some music this morning and am compelled to, once again, let you know how happy I am with my TEs...they sound fantastic--although not a 'perfect' foundation...my ARC ss amp and tubed preamp--along with my (relatively cheap) Rega tt (matched with your speakers of course) are making some beautiful music with this old Phil Collins LP I'm enjoying.

Thanks again and take care...

Warmest Regards,
SA (St. Louis, MO)

By the way - we were all watching a movie tonight and listening to it through your speakers - please let me tell you how much we love your work down here!
TP (Australia)

I recently purchased a pair of your Total Eclipse speakers to use with both a mono pair of Audio Valve Challenger 115 amps, and ss Meridian G57 amp. First let me say I have been astonished at how good they sound compared to my much more expensive Zingali HM-215s. They are faster, and more articulate, with better bass control than with the dual 15 inch drivers of the Zingalis. I am so impressed I have put those 30K speakers up for sale. The Audio Valves drive the heck out of the speakers, but are a little slower than the Meridian.
CM (CA.)

Dear Israel,
I have been using the Total Eclipse II for couple of weeks now. They had replaced my Audio Physic 3 speakers. They are marvelous. I can not be so presice with the vocabulary discribing the wonderful music that those speakers are able to create.
I had familier with quite a few speakers that cost $10k-$15k Most of them are pretty good but for my ears-the Total Eclipse II has its own league.
I am very happy i had bought them. Thank you for making such a wonderful speakers. Thank you for your great service.
Gideon

Israel,
Speakers received unscathed and singing beautifully! Awaiting some ancillary cables but already have attained a level of realism and reference playback that make purchasing Wilson Maxx II at 45K irrelevant! Congratulations and I will spread the gospel!
P.D.

Greetings Israel,
Thanks for the setup tips. Last night I listened to a 1958  Living Stereo Shaded Dog RCA Dvorak No. 5, In E Minor, Op. 95, record and a 1964 shaded dog RCA Listz  Concertos Nos. 1 and 2 record.  Then I listenned to the Beatles Abbey Road record ( I think in mono, no stereo designation on record).  Well ,  I have to say, the sound was "ABSOLUTELY STUNNING" with the Total Eclipse Unbelievable dynamics and sound!!! I am a bass player so I am very critical in the nuances in this area. Totally superb!!! Looks like a real love affair is developing here. This is my kind of speaker.
Just listened to a 1958 RCA Dvorak shaded dog and a 1964 RCA Listz. Unbelievable dynamics and sound. I am going to organize all my records by label ASAP so I can learn what labels are the best. Yousa!!!
Thank you and Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Blume,
Last April 8th I ordered a pair of Total Eclipse speakers (Serial #s: 001771 and 001772) from Holm Audio in Woodridge, Illinois, taking delivery of them in late May. The first thing I want to tell you is that I have thoroughly (very strong emphasis on the word “thoroughly!”) enjoyed listening to all different kinds of music through them. They bring a sense of realistic size to music that I did not ever hear through any of the other several dozen pairs of speakers that I auditioned over the course of two years as I built my new stereo system (the one remaining item I have left to get for the basic stereo are a pair of AudioQuest Kilimanjaro speaker cables). There were really only a couple of other pairs of speakers that I liked nearly as much, from top to bottom, as the Total Eclipses (the Sonus Faber Cremonas, in particular, come to mind), but none of them had that wonderful sense of life-like size that the Totals do. Every single time I play an album through them that I haven’t listened to through them before, I feel as though I’m listening to that album for the first time all over again!
M.R.

Israel, just wanted to drop you a quick note to say congratulations on getting so many of your speakers in this new issue of The Absolute Sound. They really love your stuff!! As do I. I also wanted to re-express how delighted I am with my Totals. The thing I am really struck with above all else is how well they image. I read a lot when I am listening to music. I constantly find myself snapping my head up to hear the placement of a musician I had previously never heard before. Unless you come out with a Super Total these are likely to be my speakers for life.
J.A. (NJ)

Israel, I just got back from vacation today. I was away for 10 days and did not hear my precious Total's for all that time. I was really missing them. I have been listening to them for about an hour now and loving every minute. I am so very happy and satisfied with this purchase. Thanks again.I have about 100 hours on them now. I hope to put another 100 or so on them in the next week to ten days and then really make some serious evaluations. The imaging is what really strikes me. They image so well. They really do sound great at all listening levels. I played with them for a while with the woofers out and now am listening with the woofers in. I used a Radio Shack Sound Level meter and a test CD and discovered that the bass response was more flat with them in so in they will stay.I really do love these babies.
J.A.

Hello Israel,
I'm TOTALLY happy with my Total Eclipses. They replaced my B&W 803s driven by a Plinius SA-100 Mk. 3. Literally from the instant music emerged from the TE I knew I'd done the right thing. Everything that I couldn't get from the previous combination happens now with the TE - excellent bass, lifelike dynamics and power to spare. I'm now enjoying my records and CDs way more than ever before. While the B&Ws were fine in a small apartment with a suspended wood floor they weren't up to the task in my current listening room with it's 13' ceiling and slab floor. I love the Total Eclipses. I appreciate any help you can offer. And thank you for building such a great speaker!
KL

Hello and Happy New Year,
I heard many loudspeaker as ACT 2 Wilson Benesch or Avanti, Cremona. I prefer Total over all of them, by far.
Thanks,
R.Z. Spain

Israel:
The speakers now have around 180 hours, enough, I think, for me to start to understand what's going on with them, though I've done very little tweaking other than placement and choice of amplifier. The verdict thus far is that they are utterly (I should say totally) remarkable, one of the very few that strike all the right balances, or at least all the ones that matter to me. I'm sure they will only get better as I spend more time with them, and that I will be gushing further.
Dan Meinwald EAR USA

Dear Israel,
A month ago, I got trade-in your Total Eclipse back to our office. Then I brought this TE to my home for serious listening cause I can't forget the sound at CES last January. I hooked up with several amplifiers and within 2 hours, i can not deny that this is one of the best speakers in the world by any price and performance. I read SS review again and those descriptions are almost right. Now I am listening TE with my integrated (solid-state) amp and enjoying every bit of music itself.
SL (Korea)

Mr. Blume,
I am very impressed with the quality of your products. The Totals are absolutely beautiful speakers. The craftsmanship is outstanding and they look as good as they sound.
Thanks for making such an amazing product!
A big fan,
B.P. (OH)

Your Total Eclipses are phenomenal. In the last twenty years I have owned more speakers than I can remember. All the top makes. None can do everything these Totals can. The focus is absolutely amazing. I have a recording of Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard where their voices are 5 apart. Very few speakers can capture this. The Totals do it more precisely than anything else I have heard. And yet, when you listen to big orchestra, the soundstage seems like its forty feet wide.
The last few weeks I have used these speakers to finish the design of my new reference turntable. Phenomenal speakers.
Harry Weisfeld - VPI Industries Inc.

I am very impressed for Totals. Let me a joke: these pairs seem used; from the beginning they sound perfect. Don't they need break up period? With my solid state sound so well than I have to doubt to improve with your amp. The room is full of music and my old CD player sounds beautiful. I am going to do all what I can to show your products in Spain. Thanks,
Ricardo, Spain

Fantastic speakers !!! I owned several great speakers over the last 20 yrs none ever came close to reproducing the live sound the totals give me. I'm using Manley Neo- Classic monos with 11 watts S.E 24 Push-Pull never needing more power. These do sound great in a 14'x14' room some would call to small for them, not so, they are mind-blowing A special THANKS to Mike Holm Of Holm Audio [630] 663-1298 for all your help in building my Dream System, and Isreal Blume for building such Qualtity Prouducts plus the finest customer support around. Treat your self to a pair of Coincident speakers, it will be the best investment in your system you can make, Cheers

As the owner of the well reviewed Super Eclipse (SE) Speaker (Soundstage, TAS, Inner Ear)I had an initial concern that the Total Eclipse while offering the ability to play dynamic music with high SPL, could not match the tonal balance, nuance and fine detail of its smaller brethern. However, on a leap of faith, predicated on the reputation of Coincident owner and president, Israel Blume, I purchased the Totals some two months ago. Frankly, this was the best audio upgrade I ever made.
First, while these speakers held my rapt attention, even right out of the box, after some 200 hours of play they demonstarted a coherence, tonal balance, dynamic range, and presentation that surpased that of the the SE model. I was absolutely floored by the presentation which suddenly was life sized. Stan Getz and Paul Desmond were playing in my living room, not the scaled down 7/8 versions I had grown accustomed to and taken for the real thing. My concern over detail vanished as well, as the Totals seemed at least as refined in capturing the delicacy of a melody, the turn of a phrase, the slight breaking of a voice, the fingering of the keys on Joe Henderson's a saxophone. In fact the Total Eclipse speakers capture even more detail than the SE model, presented with a tone that your ears immediately perceive as closer to the real thing, less hi-fi, more musical.
In the area of dynamics, however, is where these 94 db efficient speakers really shine. Each enclosure is equipped with two side-firing 10 inch drivers. The cabinet itself being quite large allows for an awful lot of air to move. The end result is some of the most dynamic and impactful bass I have ever experienced. Large orchestral works (Fanfare for the Common Man--Reference Recordings)jolt you with the authority of the timpanni, grab your ears with the incredible blosoming of the bass note, then hold you in rapt attention as the note seems to decay forever. I can think of no finer speaker for large orchestral works, or for that matter delicate flute and harp recitals. IMHO they represent a brekthrough in performance and values.
I would urge anyone with the $ and a large room to consider these speakers on your short list of those that must be auditioned. You will not be disappointed. I had the opportunity to play the Plinius Integrated, the Art Audio Jota, and the Manley 300B amps with these speakers. The Manleys was clearly my amp of choice, particularly when fitted with JJ Tesla 300B tubes. While solid state sounds superb with these speakers, the 14 ohms impedance is clearly better suited to a tube amp. The Manley brought out all the rich harmonic texture and microphonic detail of the music with nothing offensive.
B.K. (ONT.)

I've been hanging fire until Mr. Had finds the time to return my SET.The ten - year old 20 watt class A transistor which cost me 175 pounds has been running the Totals in the interim.
What can I tell you?Since they arrived the Totals seem to have improved every day.My listening room is now also my office so I have been able to hear the improvements almost by the hour. And I can tell you that I feel very smug about my choice of transducer.
From the first it was evident that the speakers would do everything you and the reviewers said they would. Now some 200 hours since set up the system sounds much more open, dynamic and sensitive than my Quad system.Timbral accuracy is amazing and the sound stage wide, high and handsome. My new family cannot believe that improvements are possible so impressed are they. But I know just how much more the 300Bs will add to the party and I am both extremely excited and bloody impatient to hear the final marriage.
There is still much debate in the UK over the importance of the various components in the audio chain. Many believe that the front end is the most important and skimp on the speakers. After hearing your latest models I am convinced that one should find a super set of transducers then build a system around them. And given how well the little transistor performs with the Totals one needn't spend a fortune on an amplifier!
As I write this I am listening to Mozart's Marriage of Figaro by Erich Kleiber on Decca SXL 2087-90.This is a very old (1959) but lovely and valuable recording. The Totals show an absolutely sublime ability to render the human voice!
For now I would just like to say that in a world of hype and exaggeration it is so good to find a producer who delivers- in spades!
NW (UK )

Truly impressed with the Millenniums. Speed, resolution and harmonic accuracy were evident in spades. Incredibly coherent, detailed and transparent. Transients were stunning.
B.K (Ont.)

The Millenniums are state of the art in every way. It does everything. The
best speaker in the world.
BR (Ont.)

Sir,

I received my 1 m Statement RCA cable and inserted it into the system. I immediately heard an improvement in the sound quality. All instruments sound more real, notes are more individualized, the string of the instrument is now separate from the body of the instrument (which resonates as strings resonates, but sounds different), everything is better! I will break the new cables in for a few weeks and order more cables!

J.F. (California)

Hi Israel,

I hope you are keeping well. The following are some comments regarding the new Statement Series interconnects and speaker cables. I liked them right out of the box. However after 400 hours of break-in time, I'm just now starting to hear what they are truly made of. All the usual suspects are there, such asimproved timbre dynamics both micro and macro and a more defined soundstage. One thing I am blown away by is the micro-dynamics. The nuances heard in the sound field are tremendous. A plethora of new information is now available to the listener.

In the percussion section of Mad Man Moon from the album Trick of the Tail the resonant sounds created by a wooden block, though simple is spot on . Peter Gabriel's "Excuse Me" was literally the first time I have heard in audio reproduction the skin of a banjo percussively sizzle as the strings are plucked or strummed. In other words it's as holistic as it gets next to a live banjo. From Miles Davis to Bruce Cockburn, air from horns gut in the Bass, it’s all there. Micro-dynamics along with a steady rock solid soundstage offers up a sumptuous listening experience. The subtleties the Statement cables produce in comparison to the Coincident Extremes are not so subtle at all. With all pun intended the difference between the cables is more than extreme. They are now a highly valued component in my system.

Thanks again for your passion and commitment to audio excellence.

Best Regards

H. (Langley, B.C.)

Hi Israel,

I usually don’t contact audio equipment manufactures to compliment them on their products, but after inserting the new Statement Cables into my system, I felt obligated to.

Having upgraded to the wonderful Coincident Extreme Shotgun cables a few years ago, I was very impressed with how much they improved my listening experiences.

With that in mind after hearing about a the product release of a newer cable, namely, the Statement Cables and reading about the very thorough and detailed explanation of them on your website, I knew I just had to take the plunge.

Although the Extreme Shotguns were an excellent addition to my system and improved almost all aspects of audio parameters, I was absolutely floored by how the Statement Cables took a great system an elevated it to an unimaginable level.

I was really blown away by the impact it had on my system. It was as much of an impact that it was kind of like the feeling you had after hearing tubes for the very first time with an excellent S.E.T. amp and great speakers after only ever listening to solid state previously. I was that impressed.

Not since then have I heard such an impact of any cable or component for that matter, improve my system so much.

The very first impression I had was that it sounded like I just did and amplifier upgrade and the systems volume also seemed louder.

The impact and dynamics went through the roof! There was so much more detail and clarity to the sound. I was hearing so much more retrieval of information off my Esoteric PO3/DO3/GOs Clock stack that I was really amazed, as this combination was already very accurate and true to the source music.

After a short break in period these cables really began to sing, literally.

The sound had become even more musical and real. The noise floor had dropped, accounting for the increased detail and the less smearing of any frequencies and images.

The Statements just let the music flow!

The frequency extremes increased in their scope, however never abrasive or irritating and the soundstage width and depth all increased well beyond the speaker placement and not limited or constrained by the walls of my room.

They allowed for more frequencies to be expressed in a non-constricted limiting fashion to the point where now there was obvious harmonic completeness to all instruments and voices.

It was this harmonic completeness, I believe, combined with the noise floor dropping (dead silent) that accounted for the increase in the live and musical “they are there” factor. There was more visceral impact and things just sounded real... Really real and palpable!

These Statement Cables have taken my level of audio enjoyment to the next stratosphere.

This really was a great investment.

Thank you enhancing my life by making my recreational time so much more gratifying.

D.S. (Thornhill, ON)

Israel,

The cables arrived last week and are now connected. The jumpers sound awesome! The sound now is much more coherent due to a better integration between the tweeter and the woofer of my speakers. The Statement PC is really a huge step forward with respecto to the Extreme PC, which was already excellent. Congratulations!

Best regards,

A.G. (Spain)

Israel,

Got it. Amazing cable, huge improvement over the extreme. Plug in and power on, the sound stage was huge, focus, weight and bass improved alot. Wow.

J.P. (Markham, ON)

Hi Israel,

The cables arrived yesterday. I installed the speaker cables only just to hear them on their own. Your claims of more information was no idle boast. At first listen I was amazed at the holisticity they provide. Micro macro dynamics a deeper blacker sound stage, and rock solid imagery of instruments. Everything was substantially better; Information in spades. ... I can’t imagine what’s in store after break in is finished based on the initial audition. Great accomplishment. Outstanding!!! Thanks for steering me in the right direction.

M.H. (Langley, B.C.)

Israel,

The Sound is Amazing. You are a genius. I have the best system in Canada.

G.H. (Toronto, ON)

Israel - I just wanted to let you know that the cables (CST1 speaker cables & Ext. IC) made a very positive contribution to the sound. The improvement was pretty much as you described - greater transparency, more accurate musical timbre and more defined bass. A worthwhile purchase, IMO. Thanks

HB (NY)

Dear Mr. Blume, I am a happy owner of a pair of Your marvellous CST 1 speaker cable for 2 years. This cable is truly amazing - I have 'tested' it against 'real names' like Acoustic Zen, Harmonic Technology or Nordost, but all those even being much higher in the relevant price category fall well behind the CST 1 in sonics :-) My system, after being hooked with the CST 1, got to a new dimension soundwise, but what is more important, MUSICALLY as well! Thank You for creating such a marvellous piece of ART, really!

AB (Poland)

Dear Mr. Blume,
Last night I received a pair of 8' bi-wired CST 1 speaker cables for my system: Cary CD-303/200, Musical Fidelity A3cr preamp, Musical Fidelity A300cr power amp (225 wpc), Nakamichi Dr-8 tape deck, and B&W N804 speakers. The CST 1 replaced a set of DH Labs Q-10 bi-wire. I am absolutely SHOCKED at what these cables have done to my system. The bass has gone at least an octave lower, there is a richness that had been lacking, and the soundstage has widened tremendously. All this and wonderful clarity at the top end. Unbelievable. I can't think of enough superlatives to describe the CST 1. The sound is full, rich and simply GLORIOUS.
Thanks for producing such a wonderful product.
Regards,

RB

This cable is an absolute gem! It is dynamic and fast with no trace of leaness. It is smooth and harmonically rich with no sense of bloat or undue emphasis in any part of the frequency range. Every instrument and voice has that certain rightness that you sense immediately. The sound stage has never been wider nor deeper, with such accurate focus! Your ears tell you that this cable is complete in every sense and it is difficult to find words that can adequately describe it - other than natural and musical. The bottom line is that I don't wish to listen to another speaker cable now that I have the CST 1. And this comes from an audio test junkie who has tried the flat ones, the round ones, the silver cables, the silver coated, and ones with boxes on them....many more expensive than the CST 1, but none as good, especially at this price. Thanks Coincident.

B.K (Ont.)

Well, Israel - you've done it again.
I got the speaker cables this morning and rushed home at noon. I pulled my old Tara Labs Quantum III cables off the Conquests, and hooked up the CST I. I threw on a CD and plunked down to have listen. I know, I know - straight out of the box, needs breakin, shouldn't make judgements yet - so sue me, I can't help myself.
These cables are so much better than what I had in there that I'm almost embarassed to have been listening to your wonderful Conquests through those old hoses. What I noticed straight off was the transparency and coherence across the spectrum, and the quality of the bass. The bass seemed to go down about another octave, but more than that was the quality of it: coherent, tuneful liquid, extended - all those great adjectives that I've been longing to use... If this is how they sound now, I can't wait to hear them in a week (well, maybe I'll have to wait a week). I couldn't be happier.
This is the second time I've bought something from you without being able to hear it first - quite a leap of faith for an audiophile. First the Conquests, now these cables. In both cases the results have exceeded my expectations by a wide margin. To say I'm impressed with the designs you've done would be a serious understatement.
Thanks for rejuvenating my listening room!

P.C (ONT)

I read Michael Fremer's review of the Coincident Technology phono cable with much surprise, since I have been using one myself for several months with my Aries/JMW/Benz LO.4 (RCA to RCA) and have found it to be fantastic in every respect and the opposite of his review. I also use one between my preamp and amplifier. Then I read your response regarding break in time and I understood. Before using it, on the recommendation of Arthur Salvatore, I first broke in my cables playing cd's silently on repeat 24 hrs/day for 3 weeks (mostly Beethoven & Mahler symphonies). I even made numerous comparisons with other respected and more expensive cables with a friend's help and confirmed my opinion. There's no shortcut to be had here. Mr. Fremer deserves to listen again after proper break in and your superior design deserves to be recognized.

G.M. (California)

I hope this helps! The cables are incredible!
I have had your CST-1 speaker cable in my system now for a couple of months. I am using the cable along with my VTL amps and your wonderful Coincident Technology Super Eclipse speakers. Out of the box the speaker cable sounded pretty damn good compared to the Goertz Alpha Core AG2 biwire cables (over twice the price!) that I was using. Even before break in, I new the cables had a special quality about them through the midrange that was somehow masked by the more expensive cable. The instruments and voices just came through with more of an organic or alive texture and the highs seemed more cohesive with the midrange. Now after full break in I have to say your cables are incredible. They really have opened up the soundstage in a most musical and realistic kind of way. High hats and cymbals sound as real as anything I have heard outside of the real thing! Thanks again Mr. Blume for allowing me to get closer to music!

M.B (OH)

I replaced the DH Labs Silver Sonics, which is one of the better budget cables with the CST 1 cable last night. I've never heard such an immediate and unmistakable difference brought about by a change in cabling as I heard last night. The level of improvement was in line with a MAJOR upgrade in amplification. It reminded me of when I replaced a Jolida 302 with an Atmasphere M-60 in my system.
If you are looking for a speaker cable or a very cost efective upgrade check
out these cables.

B.S. (LA)

The cables arrived today. It took much less than 100 hours, in fact, less than 100 seconds to hear the difference. And they will get better!! The sound is clearer. There is more air around the sounds. The soundstage is markedly larger. I can more easily pick out voice sections in choral music. The Wadia 830 made a huge difference but your cables made almost as great a difference immediately. I love Mozart and the Requiem is up there for me. I have 4 versions and keep looking for the next good one. I have been disappointed with the CDs because they all have had a mushy choral sound. Listening today, with the new cables, I could hear some great improvement.

W.C. (SD)

What hath you wrought? These speaker cables are OUTSTANDING!!! I don't have a lot of time on them yet (about 50 hours), but they are sounding mighty fine already. They sounded better than the Harmonic Techs right out of the box.
More detail (without being hyped or artificial), better placement and localization in the soundstage, MUCH better microdynamics and dynamic shading, and the important part: the bass. Some of the bass issues I've been having appear to have been the fault of the HT cables. With your cables, I get more low end heft and punch, and some of the boom problem has disappeared. It almost sounds like bass frequencies have been shifted downward somewhat - more crunch and slam, and less mud and overhang. In a word, I'm quite impressed, and can't wait to see how much further they improve with more playing time. Oh, and did I mention that I hear NO negatives? You know how many times a cable will sound better in some areas, but lose ground in others? I hear none of that here - everything is improved, with nothing lost as a result.
Kudos, sir. Can you get to work on some amps and preamps next? Maybe a cartridge too?

B.C. (OK)

Wow! I got the Coincidents. Oh yeah. Beautiful wires, nicely put together, big thick spades, top notch. Anyway, 'right out of the box' as they say, they are better than my DH Labs T14, (which kept me happy for a long time, until I got better equipment where I'd hear the difference). Yup, better soundstage, dynamics, my speakers are disappearing even more now. I love it. I so look forward to hearing the sound improve over the next couple hundred hours too. Like I said, it's happily ever after from here on ;-)

J.C.

Can only give performance of the Coincident cables as I have not made comparison to the Acoustic Zen. Have the Coincident CST I speaker cables, Interconnect and Power Cord. First of all the build quality is exceptional, the spade ends on the speaker cables remind me of the ends on Transparent, top notch quality. Each product brought my system to a new level of performance, the speaker cables brought actual sound out on some recordings that I had not heard prior with my existing cables. Exceptional detail and clarity on the top end with precise and tight bass on the bottom end. The soundstage opened wider and with more depth than my previous cables. The power cord & interconnect on my CDP made the sound more accurate and clear with a sense of weight on the bottom end. I was skeptical about these cables and purchased these based on reviews from others on audiogon. For there affordable price range compared to the higher prices of cables I had in my system before, build quality and exceptional performance they compare and better all other cables I have owned before which included MIT, Tara Labs, Transparent Ultra, XLO & Analysis Plus. They do continue to perform better and better as break-in time elapses and am really enjoying the processess, my hope is that they continue as more detail to the music is exposed almost each time the system is turned on. One of the best investment risk in audio by far, my search for cables is over, thank God

Israel,

The Sound is Amazing. You are a genius. I have the best system in Canada.

G.H. (Toronto, ON)

Dear Mr. Blume,
The cables arrived today safe and sound :-) thanks for the quick shipping, too :-)
even unbroken-in they changed the sound of my system so much that I was just sitting on end and changing albums - so much MUSIC came through your cables that I had never dream of my system would be capable of giving to me :-)
I do not know (neither am I intending to investigate Your secret) how You can do it, but one thing is sure: the logo-sentences "Designed by Science - Driven by Passion" completely cover the magic You do :-)
Thank You for creating such MUSICAL instruments that Your CST .5 cables are :-)
I hope once I will be able to exlpore deeper the enthralling world of Yours (i.e.: purchase more Coincident cables :-)), which is MUSIC in its true entity :-)
Thanks again, Mr. Blume,
take all my best wishes, Mr. Blume :-)
I remain Yours sincerely,

AB (Hungary)

Hello Israel,
I have to tell you how much better system sounds with the addition of my
new inters (CST IC) and speaker cables (CST .5). The difference is huge.
I now have my preamp to connect. I'm spoiled now and have to order
another pair of your .5M inters to get things right. I have tried all of
my other cables and they are just lacking the magical quality your
cables give.
Please make me up another set of inter connects.
Thanks,

MS (Toronto, ON)

Got the CST.5 speaker cable earlier this week ,BIG improvement (over the DH Labs Silver) and I'm glad that I decided to go with a better speaker cable. And I 'm happy that I went with your speakers as I think these Triumph Signature UHS are perfectly suited for my little 12 watt 6BQ5 SET amps.

RC (Walpole, Mass )

I have had the CST.5 cables for about 3 weeks now and they are dynamite. The detail and transparency are amazing for a cable in this price range.Hands down,it beats any other in its category. In fact,it rivals other cables that cost at least 3x as much... and may actually outperform them.
This cable has been especially helpful for me as I have a long run - over 7 meters.I thought I would lose a lot with such a long run,but that is not the case with the CST.5s.

Hi, Mr. Blume,
How are you!
I'm from China and bought your a pair of CST IC one year ago.
I'd like to express my great appreciation for your so musical and high impressive product here, with this clear, natural, detail and easy-touched breadth and depth sounding cable, associated with other two companys -- YBA Integrated DT Amplifier and Audiomeca Obsession CD Player, I get the most wonderful high-end combos at a rather lower cost and it always bring the pure music like fresh air into my families' life.

(W.H. - China)

Israel,
Coincident phono cable sounds great! ....... Thanks

Ted Sparks

Hi,
I received your CST IC RCA cables Monday. Thank you for being so diligent.
I am thoroughly satisfied with your cables. They are the cables I've been looking for for years. My system was too bright and I couldn't listen to it without frustration. Now I can relax and read while listening to music with great pleasure. I want to express my gratitude for the good work you have done. You're an artist. Thank you for sharing this gift. If ever I decide to have my turntable repaired or changed I will certainly buy another pair. I'd like to buy a pair of your speaker cables but I need 20 ft and the cost would be too expensive for me. If ever I decide to reduce the length to 8 ft I will tell you.

Best regards. Pierre Bourret.

Direct Shootout- Coincident CST IC RCA (Retail $300 US 1m/pr) vs Virtual Dynamics Cryo'd Nite Series (Retail $1400 US -1m/pr)
For the comparative evaluation I used 3 recordings (Diana Krall -1st cut of the Look of Love, Ray Monford -Shed Your Skin-1st track and Carl Weathersby, track 6 of The Inner Ear Demonstration disc) that are capable of unraveling the true sonic abilities of any audio components. The cable was inserted between DAC and preamp. Everything else remained the same.
First I listened to the Coincident. It sounded superb in all respects. Of particular note was the ballsy sound with excellent definition from top to bottom. The recordings simply sounded real. I then switched to the Virtual Dynamics. First up was Diana Krall. Initially, a pleasant surprise- the sound through the VD was more precise and very focused, with excellent soundstage delineation. The high frequencies were slightly attenuated but the VD acquitted itself with aplomb- Round 1 to Virtual Dynamics. Next came the Carl Weathersby. This is a blues track with incredible midbass impact, dynamics and overall transparent sonics. The VD proved not up to the task. The drums were now softened somewhat, lacking that visceral excitement that I felt throught the CST. The cymbals which were so airy and extended with the CST, now were recessed and much less noticeable in their shimmer. Carl Weathersby blues growl and hoarseness of voice was replaced by a rounded, overly processed quality. In other words, this music played through the VD was altered in a fundamentally negative manner. It was no longer exciting and I could not connect to it on an emotional level- Round 2 to Coincident. The final disc contains a plethora of acoustic instruments, both string and horn, and is very revealing of system deficiencies. Through the Coincident CST, the impact of the drums was startling. The dynamics when all the instruments were going full tilt was electrifying. With the VD all that changed. The horns lost their natural intensity and bite. The weight of the low frequencies was attenuated and when the music became very dynamic, unlike the CST which held together like crazy glue on skin, the sound through the VD became bright and hard and irritating to listen to- Round 3 to Coincident, no question.
It became apparent to me throughout the session that the CST handily outperformed the VD in virtually every parameter. Not only did it do so in the traditional audiophile categories, the CST's superiority extended into how organic its presentation is. It presents the gestalt of the music in its entirety. The musical message is thereby convincingly conveyed by the CST while components like the VD simply fail here. The fact that the Coincident sells for almost 1/5th the price of the VD makes it THE bargain in cables. As a matter of fact, I still have not heard an interconnect at any price that sounds as good.
As a final note, I am not affiliated with either of these companies, however I have owned a product from each PRIOR to this review- Coincident Super Eclipse speakers, and a Virtual Dynamics Power Signature power cord. I will add that I have found the greatest strenth of Virtual D to be their power cords, with extremely good shielding, a very low noise floor, and excellent microdynamic detail retrieval. While I am more familiar with Coincident, finding all of their products above reproach, both of these companies strive to provide umcompromising performance. In fact, I feel that there may be some synergies gained through a combination of the Virtual D power cords and Coincident interconnect. However, with regard to line-level interconnects (the main focus of this review), the Coincident CST shines sonically, presenting an organic whole and true connection to the music, which is really what it's all about. The fact that the performance-to-price ratio of the CST cable is many times higher than competing products is simply a bonus.

Sutts

Many of of us have know this for years.I tried every cable under the sun.from 100 to 2500 cables. The Coincident slayed them all. Its no secret that Israel has a great cable made.Study the design. Everthing is done right.Even the pricing. Funny thing is I am sure this cable cost Israel more to make than a Quattro Fil for example. He just does not mark it up 9000% Percent like most of the others. The day I put My coincident Interconnects and speaker cables in was the day I got to listen to the real music my system could deliver.

Natalie

I am absolutey loving your interconnects and speaker cables, I am truly astounded by the musical performance they deliver. I did a little shoot-out with some cables that cost multiple times the $ of yours and it wasn't very close, your cables just pulled away with ease.
PS-- what the heck was the guy from Soundstage smoking when he reviewed your cables? Tipped up treble? what a nut. I hear nothing of the sort, just pure music.

RB (Montana, US)

For the past 8 hours I've been listening to music and the AudioNote silver interconnects have now been relegated to the tape in/out of the Revox (superb tape recorder...should be, it cost $2500 !), but your interconnects have added warmth, solidity and possibly more bass already ...and lots more to come...excellent! I take my hat off to you Israel, you are a rarity in the hifi world...you tell the truth...you don't exaggerate...you're honest...Bye for now.

DD (Northern Ireland)

In my system, which you know very well, the CST IC sounded fuller, more dynamic, and slightly more detailed, yet equally musical, in comparison to the fully balanced Wire World Gold Eclipse III. This is a no brainer the WWG is up for sale. Also tried the Magnan VI, and found it to have a nasal pinched midrange compared to the CST IC. Again the Magnan is a more expensive cable which does not measure up to the CST IC.

B.K. (ONT)

This interconnect (CST IC) is so good that at first I could not believe my ears. Every area of performance was an improvement over the Wireworld Eclipse. Bass was tighter and deeper, more transparent, with a bigger soundstage - greater top to bottom purity. Best cable I have ever heard, period! At its price is a giveaway. My system has been transformed!

D.A. (ONT)

Well ..... what can I say ? Are you ever wrong ?
I don't even have 15 hours on these cables and they utterly destroy any cables I have ever heard in every way ..... it's not even close.
I just finished a 3 hour listening session with a friend who has a very critical ear (really, two of them) and he was absolutely stunned. He has heard every incarnation of my sound system over the years and is not easily impressed. But he admitted that your cables raised the bar several notches. Detail is amazing at all frequencies, bass is low and tight, harmonic structure is dead on, separation of voices and instruments is excellent, and the soundstage is wide, deep and three dimensional. Truthfully, I've never heard better and I have several friends who have systems costing in excess of $30,000.00.
And you tell me they will get better ..... amazing!
My system is now musical and lifelike in a way I never expected. I have been sitting here listening to tracks on CDs that I don't even like ..... and I'm smiling. How can you place a value on that?
You are an amazing person and your products are grossly underpriced ..... but please don't raise them until I purchase the Super Eclipses .....

R.F.

I have already done as you suggested w/ the cable (before I read your mail). I gave it a sneak listen between CDP and pre (replaced WW Gold) and.......IT'S PRETTY DAMN GOOD!! Already in the un-burned condition, I prefer it to the Gold. Same response I had to the speaker cable vs. WW Silver. Similar sonic improvements as well. I'm hearing a wide and deep stage w great center fill and solid, muscular images. Bass seems very fast w good snap, grunt and weight w/o boom. Highs are airy and delicate. And of course, it's got that very nice signature Coincident midrange (no surprise there!). Overall seems well balanced, neutral, and quite revealing of inner detail. A natural and at ease presentation. I didn't expect to hear such a difference in that location....thought I'd be more likely to hear difference (if any) between pre and amp. Nice...congratulations.

J.S. (NY)

I just replaced my HT Pro Silways MKII's with Coincident IC's and the difference is huge. I hate to knock another cable because I know it is so system dependent. My current system is all Electrocompaniet (EMC1, 4.6 Pre-amp, AW120 Amp). I have Purist audio maximus between my amp and pre and HT Pro 9's for my speakers. The Coincident sounded better out of the box than the existing HT Pro Silways in my system. The bass became tighter, vocals fleshed out...blah blah blah. Bottom line is it sounds alot better and makes listening to my system alot more enjoyable. Thanks to Mr. Blume for producing a well voiced product with tangible improvements at a competative price point. I would very much like to hear your speakers as well. If they are anything like your cables they must be outstanding.

Celery

I use the Coincident IC and speaker cable. They are very good. I have tried many of the big names. MIT, Nordost, Audioquest, Wireworld, Ioxs, Kimber. The only ones that came close cost 4/5 times more.

PD

Israel,

I just wanted to confirm that the four power cords arrived in perfect condition and sound wonderful. Your power cords are really amazing! Now I unserstand what you mean by "clean power without distortion"!!!! What a difference with respect to the Elrods...

Best regards,

A.G. (Barcelona, Spain)

Israel,

The Sound is Amazing. You are a genius. I have the best system in Canada.

G.H. (Toronto, ON)

Israel, JM from Arthurs Audio in Michigan. I went with Charles Wasson to your house awhile ago. Charles brought over your power cord to me.

I bought a Playback Designs CD player and did not like the sound even after 500 hours of break in. I removed my Belden 14 gauge cord and replaced it with yours. I could not believe the difference. The noise floor went way down, the midrange now had body to it and the sound became analog like. I thought I was hearing a record. I am also using a modright modded sony 5400es as well and like that better until this happened. How much for a 9 foot CST and how long would it take to make it up. Thanks

J.M. (Michigan)

I am just enjoying the sound your cst cable lets my system produce. this cable is really magic! i have used harmonic technology and cardas cabling before but they were truly far from the sonics your cable can let go through! i am totally amazed by the capability of the cst speaker cable. having this experience i decided to obtain a cst power cable as well.

A.B. (Hungary)

Your a/c cable is the best I've ever heard regardless of price. My Audio Aero cd player now sings! Thank you very much.

Marco (Italy)

Once again thanks for your hospitality. It's always a pleasure to visit and experience the latest in developments at Coincident. FYI, we have started comparing your power cable and the results are truly impressive. Right out of the box it was immediately superior to the overachieving LAT. Not a big surprise as the LAT is about the best performer at $100 US. After 20 hours of burn in we compared it to the more expensive cables like the Model Eleven by the Custom Power Cable Company ($290US). The Coincident cable just blew it away. Quieter background, more detail, and more musical. Terry was delighted, amazed at how sweet it sounded from top to bottom. The Model Eleven as you know has had rave reviews from the Absolute Sound. The much more expensive Electraglide which I have been using is not a contender even with the gold option. This Friday we will compare with the Top Gun, at $650US. We will keep you posted. The Coincident Cable is truly a breakthrough product at its price point and probably one of the truly great power cords regardless of price. Finally, once I get my new PS Audio P600 and figure out my cable lengths, I'll be ordering 5 for myself. I expect some business for you from our colleagues here in Ottawa.

B.K. (ONT)

Initial impressions on the Manley Retros:
Noticable improvement in clarity, resolution and inner detail. Bass seems more extended, with better detail and control. Very weighty and authoritative with good punch and little blurring. Soundstage is deeper and wider, and image focus is more solid and believable. Images are more transparent......like a layer of grunge has been removed. Overall, a big ballsy and impactful sound......like the system got a shot of adrenaline.

J.S. (NY)

The Sound is Amazing. You are a genius. I have the best system in Canada.

G.H. (Toronto, ON)

OK: I expected some subtle improvements when I auditoned the TRS cables; But I must tell you, the sceptic that I am, that I was totally unprepared for the soundscape in front of me! You name it: transparency, inner detail, midrange bloom; lower octave resolution; upper frequency extension, palpability, natural decays, transient speed; in other words the whole ball of wax was all there in a coherent package! I have never heard my music some more real and vibrant. (I have never been bowled over by any cabling before). Israel, I can't thank you enough!
Best regards;

GC,Ottawa, On.

Hi, Mr. Blume,
I have just bought a Coincident TRS. Believe me when I say that your product is dramatically better than many other cables I tested (and I tested so many). Congratulations for your very good work.
Regards.

Coincident Speaker Technology TRS Total Reference Series Cable Review by Audio Purist
June 26, 2002
AudioAsylum

Hello folks, I have owned these cables for 3 months now and I think it's time I posted my comments and listening impressions on them. This review is for the new version TRS. I bought these direct from Coincident because there was no dealer in my area. Let me say it was a pleasure dealing with Mr. Blume himself (the founder of Coincident Speaker Technology). The cables actually arrived faster than was originally promised and I wasn't even charged for any shipping costs.

The construction is first rate, very well done. They are very stiff though and very difficult to bend (which I personally don't mind). I think that is probably due to the fact that there are four separated independent self-contained cables within each speaker cable, which I've read, is partly the reason why the cables have a very low inductance, which helps extend the high-end frequency. They are also shielded.

At first listen, the highs had a little bite to them and the lowest bass was kind of weak compared to my long time reference and now second favorite Ultralink Ambiance speaker cables (terrific cables for the money, very smooth). Also at first, the soundstage wasn't that great, basically for the lack of a better word (and I am not too good with all the audiophile terms, forgive me) everything sounded 'flat'. But I didn't despair, I knew they needed burning in and I was patient. At this point my Ultralinks were sounding a little better than the TRS's. After about a week of off and on playing I started to hear improvements in terms of the imaging and soundstage but there was still some brightness up top and the very low bass was still weak. After about the fourth week everything started to come together. At this point these cables started to blow away the Ultralinks. Mind you the TRS (mine are 8 ft.) is way more than twice the price of what I paid for the Ambiance cable. The soundstage grew in width and depth and on live recordings especially, it was simply mesmerizing. I could now tell how far back or front the lead vocalist was, along with the location of some instruments. Sort of like a 3D effect. Focus, imaging all improved. The highs remained very extended, detailed and extremely airy (which I like very much). For the most part that brightness that was there in the beginning was still there but definitely not as much as before. The lower frequencies continued to be just a little weak.

Up to this day there are definite improvements still in the same areas 'especially' in the bass department. The lower bass now is more defined and goes way deeper than it did before with the bass impact now equaling or even just surpassing that of the Ultralinks (and I am very pleased about that), and I am sure it will continue to improve as I estimate I've put in only about a 100 hours or so of burn in time so far. As for the highs, well if it's an airy, extended and detailed cable on the high-end that you need (or should I say a cable that doesn't roll off anything up top) this is it. This cable promises that and it delivers hands down. Whatever little brightness was left is now gone and I am hearing things (micro details) that I have never heard before from my CD's, it's really amazing. Cymbals seem to go to infinity for example, delicate string guitar notes, etc. Now there is just no contest between the two cables anymore.

Comparing the TRS's with some Nordost Red Dawns that I used to own, the TRS's have more bass, I think more detail and especially, they don't have those annoying voice sibilants that where always present 'in my system'with the RD's; but the RD's were much more flexible than the TRS's, obviously.

I just hope I have helped someone who is interested in these fine reference class cables to get some small idea of what sonic characteristics they possess. They have raised the sound quality of my system up one level. It's as if I have upgraded one of my audio components, and for that I highly recommend them!

Enjoy the music.

I wanted to inform you that I received my cables yesterday. To be honest, I was surprised that they sounded as good as they did out of the box. So good, in fact, that I'm selling my SPMs without a second thought. Could your cables be one of the best kept secrets in audio?
Thanks for your help and excellent service.
Regards,

RS (Brossard, Que.)

After buying my hi-fi system, I knew the next step was cables, and I knew from previous experience that cables were important. I borrowed some MIT, Audioquest, and Ensemble cable from my dealer and tried them at home on my new system.
What shocked me, beyond any of my wildest expectations, was the *extreme* change in sound between each of the 3 cables. I had not realised a speaker cable could have that much of a dramatic effect on the sound of my system, then again I had never had a system capable of this level of resolution before. (Vienna Acoustic's Mahlers, a Gryphon amplifier, a Theta Casablanca, and a Meridian Cd player).
I quickly realised that choosing the right cable was going to be difficult. The problem was that the differences between each of the cables I tried revealed the weakness of each cable, as no cable did everything right.
I then tried some Wireworld, Harmonic Technology, and XLO Reference. Again, the strengths and weakness of each cable revealed that no cable was giving me a correct solution.
On advice from a friend, and based on comments at www.high-endaudio.com, I ordered a pair of Coincident TRS speaker cable. I was expecting the cables to sound better than all the other cables I had tried.
What I wanted was the clarity and balance of the XLO's, the body of the Wireworlds, and the bass of the Harmonich Technologies.
What I got, after my mild heart attack when I first heard them, was a revelation, a religious experience, a moment in time where hi fi was better than sex, an out of body experience, and a sound that transformed my system from the best system I could afford to the best sound I'd ever heard at any price.
I am afraid to imagine what these cables could do to better speakers and with better components.
The TRS speaker cable, was better in all the ways I had expected, bass transmission, body, focus, transparency etc. What I hadn't expected or even comprehended, was how *different* it would sound.
Everything suddently sounded like music, it wasn't that it had fixed all the shortcomings of the other cables, sure it did that, but what it also achieved was a whole new level of sonic and musical realism.
For the first time cymbals and hi-hats sounded REAL, instead of an over emphasis on a clear high frequency noise, the entire body depth and weight of a piece of metal being hit was felt as well as heard, and the resolution that was so shockingly better was backed up by the full body, weight and depth for every sound on the recording.
Whereas previously I compared 8 different cables and all were better or worse than eachother in some ways, I felt like I was comparing apples to apples in so far as they were all still inherently the same. They were all speaker cables and all sounded like variations on a theme. It was now clear how wrong that theme was.
Its like 10 audiophiles argue over which consumer 16 bit cd player sounds best, then someone takes out a reference 24/96 CD, or a reference LP, and plays you that instead.
You can't begin to quantify this cable by comparing it to other cables, this cable simply shows how completely wrong all other cable designers have been.

JT (NZ)

Great cables.Took awhile to break in but WOW- well worth the wait.

NW (UK)

Just received the cables today - took longer than I thought for it to get here - but HOLY SMOKES What did you do - I will sum it in one sentence if I can - The dissapearing acts of the speakers became REAL - SOLID FOCUS - HEFTY BUTTOM - INVOLVING/LUSCIOUS MIDS and the extremes were just CRYSTAL Clear with no edgeness nor grain - it is a world class with a BULLET - It is exactly like what you said - a connectionless media between the Amps. and the Speakrs. To me, it is like a whole layer of the audio spectrum has been removed to get to the real deal. Will continue breaking in to enable me experience more of the hidden magic if only there are any more layers to be removed. Thanks for all the good work ------ How was the CES show????????? - what was your setup???

K.K. (N.J.)

This is a wonderful letter to you. I am still breaking in the interconnects but have in the meantime tried your power cord. Out of the package without any break in this is a great product. I will not mention what I have been using but lets say I swapped this for a much more expensive power cord. I have so far used only with my amps but will try with several other components and will follow up with you next week to obtain additional power cords. Excellent product that I would recommend to anyone regardless of price, open, airy, defined, on and on. Thanks.

Israel,

The Sound is Amazing. You are a genius. I have the best system in Canada.

G.H. (Toronto, ON)

Hello Israel,

I purchased some Extreme cables and also Interconnects.
I want to let you know that the cables are without a doubt the best cables I have ever heard. I have about 100 hours on the cables and the bass is getting very tight , imaging is wayyy better then before using your cables.
Kudos to you for selling exceptional products and a very fair price.
I have complete faith in your products.

B.T. (Hudson, NH)

Dear Mr. Blume,

I do not know how you do that but the cable plays magic pulled right out of the box! The Extreme is exactly what you describe it to be, even over the TRS (my memory works wonders): pure, natural, harmonic, dynamic, transparent, spacey - in one word: MUSICAL in capitals!!! I can not compare it directly to the TRS or to 'the rest', but one thing is sure: I have never met a cable regardless of price that sounded so enthralling on first off that the Extreme does! The musicians are now really in my room /just think of the English Baroque Orchestra squeezed in 17 sq. meters - plus the audience :-))) /. Also, any kind of music is served extraordinally well, no pickings with rock or classical, studio or open-air concert... I believe what Mr. Salvatore raved about is true in every word!
Thank you, Mr. Blume, creating such a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT that the Extreme is!!! I reckon You must be gifted as to provide the link between the spirit and the soul for us, MUSIC lovers :-) My highest appreciation!!!

I wish You all the best,
Yours sincerely,

AB (Hungary)

Dear Israel,

I must say that I'm quite happy with the TRS EXTREME speaker cables (if only the spades were a little narrower). Arthur Salvatore was right in saying "The Coincident Extreme will outperform the Polk, and every other speaker cable I've heard, in the vast majority of systems" . Beyond firmer bass and higher highs what I valued the most was the  lower sound-floor which kept me listening at low levels late at night. In a word I would characterize it diaphanous (I use the greek word for transparent because I think it's better than the Transparents I've auditioned).
I will soon be in touch about the EXTREME ICs.
 Best regards,

K.P. (Greece)

Dear Israel,
Your cables are really good, better than Nordost (Valhalla).

M.K. (Greece)

Israel,
I thought my TE's sounded incredible before...the Extreme cables take them to the next level. The Totals (and Extremes) give me a massive soundstage with crystal clear mids and deep and tight bass that I've never experienced before...in other words, they give me absolutely beautiful music...exactly what I've been searching for. Thank you for these great speakers and your outstanding customer service. I LOVE these speakers (and cables)!
Sincerely

S.A. (MO)

Mr. Blume,
Received cable today. Icecold right out the box, it took just 15-20 minutes to surpass existing speaker cable. Impressive product.
Best regards

M.B.

To be honest with you, the first time I have listened to the regular extreme interconnect I have purchased, I was totally amazed by the sound quality of it !

I never heard such good IC in any brands !

I have even compared it to a friend of mine’s Stealth indra interconnect and I have prefered the regular extreme.

E.M. (France)

Compared the Shotgun interconnects to my previous reference, Stealths, that sell for $9300 and I was amazed at the difference. The Coincident was clearly superior. Voices had far greater clarity and three dimensionality. The Stealth was flat and constricted by comparison. The Shotgun at less than 1/10 the price was obviously more transparent. Hard to believe.

M.L. (Toronto, ON)

Israel,

Let me also tell you that every day I am more amazed by your cables. Now I have introduced two interconnects into my Ayre secondary system also and they have completely transformed the sound. Really fantastic! Your Extreme cable line is a monumental achievement! (Not that I have forgotten how extraordinary your components are, but I already told you about that! )

Best regards,

A.G. (Barcelona, Spain)

Israel,

The Sound is Amazing. You are a genius. I have the best system in Canada.

G.H. (Toronto, ON)

Israel,

I decided to take the slow road to 100 hours and listen all the way. I started with the album I'm most familiar with (Tori Amos - Under the Pink) and listened to it carefully making notes. I just finished listening to it again at the 100 hour mark to see the comparision. A qucik note about my equipment: I have all Krell electronis, a Rega/DV front end and Wilson WATT/Puppy 5.1 speakers. My old cables were Transparent Reference. Although I loved the old cables when I had my B&W speakers they never seemed to give me the quickness or depth on the Wilson's. This is where reading Arthur's blog comes in as he raved about your cables and everything he said was exactly what I was looking for. As you promised the cables sounded great right out of the box. In the initial listening session, I thought Tori sounded a bit harsh and the music was a little on the lean side. Not unusual for new cables. The depth and soundstage were immediately better. I listened to a variety of other music over the past month from classical to jazz to rock. The harshness was gone at about the 25 hour point. The bass evolved and was tight and deep at the halfway mark. At 100 hours I put on Under the Pink again and I must say there was a dramatic difference. It was more than subtle. Tori's vocals never sounded sweeter. This might sound strange but on the song "Pretty Good Year" I could hear the moisture in her mouth...it was palpable. In the past I could hear her gently pressing the foot pedals of her Bosendorfer but now I could actually tell the difference in the sound of the pedals. Simply amazing!

I wonder if the Wilson's would sound even better if the puppy tail (which is made from Transparent wire) was switched to yours. Could be an interesting niche market. If you are interested in a trial let me know.

Needless to say I'm thrilled with your product. Keep up the good work!

KH, CT.

The Extreme digital you sent me with the other I/Cs replaced an XLO signature. It blew it a way. A huge difference! Like replacing my digital front end.

BF (Surrey, B.C)

Hi Israel,

Received the Extremes toåday. They clearly edged out my Cardas Golden Reference right out of the box. (Pre amp to amp) I will be curious to see how much better they are after they get settled in.
Thanks

JF (Texas)

Dear Israel,
Your phono-cable is one of the best.

HF (Netherlands)

Dear Mr. Blume, To be honest I don't remember if I had sent to you some comments regarding your phono cable. It's really great and coexistent very well with my VPI HX turn table(my opinion or my feeling).

MK (Poland}

Hi Israel,
I wanted to report my observations about the new Extreme interconnects, after they have been fully broken in (400 hours). They are amazing in detail and soundstage. However the one thing I didn't expect was how much they have opened up bass extension. They have brought the Super E to a new level of impact. The system is now closer to a club atmosphere when you experience not only immediacy but also air pressure produced by the instruments being played. I love that feeling in a jazz club when you feel the music in every SENSE we humans have. The Extreme interconnects along with the Extreme cables have not only brought more detail, but they have produced more WEIGHT in my system. They are "extremely" involving!
Thank you so much for the hours of enjoyment I am having, listening to music!!!
Best Regards

M.H. (BC, Canada)

Israel,
The new cables are sounding great and continue opening up with each play.
Large jump in transparency over the Cardas, as you suggested would be the case.
I'm enjoying the music like never before - I can't believe the low-level detail retrieval with these speakers and cables!  Sounds absolutely wonderful with whatever music I throw at them and whatever volume I dial in.
Anyways, just wanted to let you know that things are great and thanks again for your wonderful products!

H.F. (Toronto, ON)

Hi Israel,
Received interconnects on Wednesday and installed late last night. I just finished a listening session of just over an hour; Jim Hall Concierto ( Do you have this one?) and Buster Williams Griot Liberte.
Out of the box the transparency is amazing or should I say "Extreme". I can hardly wait until they are broken in.
You have done it again. I have not heard anything comparable. Everyone should have these in their system. Are you using some sort of magic????
Thanks again Israel. Fantastic!
Hope you have a great weekend.
Best Regards

M.H. (Langley, BC)

HOLY FRICK'N SHE-OT!
What an improvement over the Cardas Golden Blankets!
Just like you said. I'am tempeted to call in sick to the FireStation for the next 6 months just to sit at home and re-discover my vinyl library. The way my LP rig sounds now, I may never want to voluntarily listen to CD again!
I will be ordering another 1m set of the Extremes, only XLR-XLR this time, for my CD player...just in case I ever want to listen to digital again.
Thanks Again

T.H. (Long Beach, CA)

BTW I am so overwhelmed by the new Coincident power cords that I have to tell you again how fantastic they are. I see them as a game changer,...... honestly. They have added a sense of organic refinement that I didn't even sense was missing until it appeared. But it’s more dramatic than my limited non "audiophile reviewer lexicon" can describe. It really makes the Statement, Franks, and Dragon sound like they were just upgraded to "newer" generation models from their current "previous" model state. It is really that dramatic. I hear details never heard before emerging from very, very dark background. This in turn adds more harmonics which definitely has increased the "natural" factor to goose bump level. There is so much more depth and image specificity as well, which keeps me saying 'Wow" (out loud!) after each cd I listen to . The bass is so much more well controlled (which I thought it was before), that I hear so much more definition and many more notes rather than bass slam or what way be interpreted as a smear in the bass. I sincerely believe based on your passion and your descriptions of what you like and you search for, in terms audio qualities and characteristics , that you of all people would absolutely adore them .
Sorry for the long rant but I never had such an inexpensive upgrade have such a dramatic impact and haven't been this excited about any changes in my system since I actually first got into Coincident.

Turbo 845SE

Hello Israel,

I can now report with a high level of certitude than my system with the Turbo is simply a revelation! Several weeks of tweaking, incremental upgrades and burn in have brought it to a level I could have only dreamed about. Without the extremely high level of resolution the Turbo brings this could not be possible. I now don't feel the need to listen analytically, the system is lifelike and musical, not a sense of performers in the room, but actual performers in the room!

This quality of sound is just a bit surprising to me, as reportedly I don't have this system fully optimized.

S.S. (Whitmore Lake, MI)

Coincident Turbo amplifier which sounds awesome, even with my 87dB PMC monitors. But I want to hear its full potential, so I have been searching for more efficient speakers, considering your Triumph monitors as the first option. The sound is really amazing. As you said, it seems to have the finesse of the Frankensteins with the power of the Dragons!

The sound of the Turbo is AMAZING.

Dynamo 34SE MK III

I had Sennheiser hdv 820 amp in my house.5 minutes of listening gave me enough information how this unit sounds. Dynamo sounds to me more complete . I had chance to listen to Poilish headphone amplifier Felix Audio Euforia Anniversary fitted with Cv-181 MK2 tube and 6SN7 driver tube. Asking price 2800 Euro. Focal cooperates with this company as matching unit for their utopia headphones. Tubie sound , very thick but only 250 mW output power. Everyone here loves the Dynamo.

SK- Poland

WOW. A whole day listening. All I can say as usual- you dont know what you're missing until you hear it. Superlative. It’s got me glued to the music. Compared to my Cary, it’s ike washing the dirt off a window- music is all clean and shiny. The reviewers are right. There’s no noise. Amazing.

Hi,

I am impressed with Dynamo MKIII performance. I am very satisfied. I prefer it much more then expensive Audio Note Gear like Conqueror silver with top 300B tube produced exclusively for them by Psvane.

Dynamo 34SE MK II

Man Brother I’ve had some time off from work and I have setup now where I can swap electronics out quickly. Over the last 4 days I’ve locked myself into my audio room for some serious listening and while I can barely put a lightbulb in I feel I have a good ear and worked my way threw college ( which took 9 yrs ) I paid most of my tuition working as a professional musician. I’m not that great but I was paid to play for some reason:) So over the last four days I’ve swapped out the following 1- your Amp ( Dynamo ). 2- A tricked out Van Alstine Amp with a Modded Quicksilver Pre. 3- A Rogers EHF 100 Mk-2 65 wpc Valve amp (65) wpc (8k). 4- A Stereophile 2018 class A plus ranked amp 100 wpc solid state amp. 5- A Synthesis EL84 15 wpc valve amp from Italy I like very much. Honestly I like all the amps I have but none of them have the excellent low level quality Sonics - 3D soundstage- Imaging - low fatiguing - Dynamics - Crispness and Decay that the Dynamo has. I can say this because I own it but this fucker is to cheap for what it offers. I need to sell some gear obviously but when I do I’ll contact you for a SET amp. Hope ur well. Shalom, Brett

B.K. (Camp Hill, PA)

"I've had class a tube amps and solid-state British amps to power my Spendor sp1/2e speakers, but the Dynamo mark II is by far the best sounding amplifier I've ever used to power these 88db sensitivity speakers."

Thanks

C.M.

Israel, I just wanted to say that with both the Valencia's and the Audeze LCD-X’s( 20 ohms) the Dynamo is just that. Excellent. DO was spot on with his review saying that first watt is explosive. Thank you again.

R.B. (New York, NY)

Israel,

Now that I've had a chance for several weeks to enjoy the Dynamo in my system, I wanted to give you some feedback. I've been using your Statement preamp (which replaced my CJ preamp) with my Conrad Johnson MV50 amp for over a month with outstanding results. Or so I thought until the Dynamo. I cannot believe the further improvement I'm getting with the Dynamo! It is a huge step up. The music is much livelier, and it literally seems as if a blanket has been removed. There is more space between the performers and much more clarity, especially in the treble region. I don't even like analyzing the differences - it's just so much more real sounding and engaging and that's what matters!

I can't thank you enough for your gear. It's really helped me enjoy the music I love to a much greater degree!

Sincerely,

T.H. (Woodridge, IL)

Israel,

The Dynamo arrived yesterday (Friday). It sounds amazing straight out of the box! Amazing precision, super soundstage and the bass out of the little Sonus Fabers has improved greatly.

Thanks a lot,

B.G (Netherlands)

Dynamo 34SE

After one day, haven't heard another amp twice the price that touches this one. Full range Lowther alnico drivers!

Thank you!

M.S. (BC, Canada)

Hi Israel. I just wanted to pass on some comments on the Dynamo 34SE amplifier now that I have had it for a while (I was avoiding being too quick to say anything): It is simply the best purchase I have made in my audio equipment journeys. I have never heard the Triumphs sound so good, after all these years of owning them, they finally have the proper amp to drive them - and I have cycled through a number of amps with them. I know that I listen to all 'the music you are not supposed to listen to' (hard rock and heavy metal) in this fancy audio gear world. I have heard neither the amount of bass nor the detail from the Triumphs from any other amp. It amazes each day and I listen to more music upstairs now than I ever did. Thank you for making such a wonderful piece of equipment at such reasonable price. My life is much better for it!

Additionally, I find myself listening to music at lower volumes than ever. The amp, even with all the distorted guitars I prefer, has so much power I rarely make it to 10:00 on the volume dial. It looks great, sounds better than it looks and embarrasses everything I have ever used before, I have even tried it with the Paradigm Studio 100s (v5) I have in the basement and it made them sound better too. The only negative I would say is the blue light! A little electrical tape fixes that though. It did go through the rectifier tube pretty quickly, but that is minor to say the least!

I must also say, you have wrecked my enjoyment of the stereo in the basement, that little Dynamo has raised the bar so much for me! I can only imagine how good Turbo must sound, let alone the separates. Time to start saving!

Thanks so much.

J.A.M. (Calgary, AB)

Just to say I'm really enjoying the music now with your Dynamo 34SE amp, it's not fully broken yet(only around 30 hours), but sound amazing. Hard to believe that it's only 8 Watts, very powerful, bass is excellent, had a great punch and impact, definitely better than my Nova amp. You have once said "we try our hardest to make them sound like nothing", You are absolutely right, most natural sound I've ever heard, thanks for creating such a great amp for an excellent price, not to mention the build quality.

Y.D. (Indonesia)

This amp knocks solid state amps at their own game ... more dynamics and slam.
A well-named Dynamo (son of Dynaco).

Israel, well done.

H.S. (Gay Mills, WI)

Israel,

I must compliment you on the Dynamo SE34. Compared to my previous amp, the clarity is stunning. It has certainly exposed the front end of my system to its weaknesses! Outstanding product at an outstanding price.

I just wanted to let you know that everything is working perfectly and that my stereo has never sounded better! I can't get over how silent my speakers are when I turn the amps and phonostage on. I've always had some hissing or humming before. My music sounds awesome. Everything seems to be there. The High, Lows, Mids, and soundstage are better than I've experienced before!

Thanks again for your suggestion on upgrading the Dragons and everything else.

Israel,

Your new amp is outstanding!!  Dead quiet and extremely musical...best I have heard to date!

Dragon Amps

The dragons have been running for about 30 hours or so by now. All I can say is, "wow!". Best sound I've ever heard.

Thanks,

Yes, I agree with Mr. Salvatore: The Dragon is the finest (high power)
amplifier I've ever heard! After some hours on the new tubes they drive my Sonus Faber Elipsa speakers in absolute sovereign manner.

B.M. (Switzerland)

Israel,

The reason to write; I had a moment and I wanted to say thanks again for the sound. The amps( Dragons) the Pure Reference (oh the Pure Reference) the cables( Extreme ICs, speaker cable, power cords) all sound wonderful. The system is superb! Thanks again for working with me over the last 4 years to build things to where they are today.

Best Regards

Hi Israel,

The amps are 3 months in use. Things really began to open up in the last 2 weeks.
The soundstage is huge. It is almost as deep as it is wide. These amps have ability to layer instruments with out muddying things up.

A tympani drum is clearly in the back where it belongs with dimension and resolve. Instruments are “there”. Focus is incredibly detailed.
The bass is tight and BIG, in short authoritative.

If I had to sum up in one word (lets make it two) to describe what the amps are like, it would be: “Honest and Authoritative”.
These are amps that take “authority” of the music and deliver it very much in tact to the speakers.

A great achievement: Well done!

MH (Langley, BC)

Dear Israel,

I want to thank you for the patience you have shown throughout the "selection process" we have gone through for the last few months. In fact we first started talking about my amplifier upgrade some time in May last year! I was at times doubtful since I was perfectly happy with the sound of my system and I didn't think a substantial improvement was even possible. Again I had to rely on your advice only and now, after having experienced the Dragon amps my self, I have to say that your praise for them was if anything a little understated.

All of us who are in this hobby are obviously passionate about achieving the best sound reproduction and this passion can and is sometimes taken advantage of by various dealers, manufacturers and magazines. I think all your customers can consider them selves lucky to know you, as persons of such integrity and passion and knowledge are really not often found in this world.

The sound that I am getting now with my Dragon amps and Total Reference speakers is way beyond I was ever hoping to achieve - in every possible way.

Thanks again and may you always stay true to your passion to produce the best sounding components - to the benefit of the lucky ones that know about you.
MJ ( Calgary, AB)

Dear Israel,
I would just like to congratulate you on the Dragon 211's. They are, without doubt, the most musical tube amplifiers I have ever owned. And like you, I have owned many, most much more expensive retail....your secret recipy deserves great acclaim! I hope you are most successful with them.

Hi Israel,

We recently did a phono shootout w your phono vs Aesthetix Rhea Signature, Canary tube, and a Manley Steelhead with and without a Kondo SUT. Though they were all good, your Statement Phono was unanimously voted as the best.

E.C. (Toronto, ON)

Hi Israel,

I just wanted to check back in with you to let you know that I am thoroughly enjoying the phonostage I bought from you back in January.Thank you for building such an amazing product. I am hearing information on my vinyl that was never apparent before!

A.R. (San Francisco, CA)

I must say you've done it again. The Coincident Statement Phono preamp is just so good it's ridiculous. It has taken my system to a higher level. It's dead quiet, neutral, yet tonally and harmonically complete at the same time. Everything a preamp should be. Of course, with that over-the-top power supply, dynamics are off the charts. Given the excellence of the Frankensteins, I can't say I'm surprised. What did surprise me were your Extreme Power Cords. In addition to the one I bought for the preamp, I got two more for the Frankensteins. I didn't put them in the system right away, but I was only able to hold out for about a week. Once I put them in to replace fatter, more impressive looking power cords by another manufacturer, the improvement was anything but subtle. The Frankensteins seemed to be energized somehow. They became even quieter and more dynamic than they were before. Amazing. Highly recommended. I'll be getting a couple more very soon. Thanks again.

C.C. (New Jersey, USA)

Israel,

It has been two years since I have the CSPS and CSLS; both still amaze me by what they are capable of whenever I make other small improvements in the system. I feel quite fortunate for “meeting your works of art” by chance.

What an amazing piece of gear you have created here. I love the Statement phono! It is great with and without my linestage.

I recently bought 3 preamp units from Israel, and I'm delighted with the price, product and delivery. First, I bought the Coincident Statement Phono preamp, which is awesome. Then I bought a second Phono unit for my nephew, and also the Coincident Statement (line) Preamp for myself. All of the units were in perfect condition, and absolutely are the best sounding preamps I have ever heard. The internal build quality is superb, all hardwired with a high degree of accuracy and finish. The volume controls require a reasonably firm grip to turn, but otherwise the look and feel of the units is first class.

I can not recommend the Coincident preamps highly enough. In my opinion they are an absolute bargain compared to other units on the market, due to the ability to purchase direct from the manufacturer, especially with the favourable Aussie dollar right now.

I have nothing to do with Coincident or Israel whatsoever, in case you're wondering. But my experience dealing with them was all positive.

M.T. (Australia)

WOW! This really is something special!

D.R. (Cambridge, M.A.)

I am very, very, very impressed with how great my LPs are sounding!

M.S. (Washington, D.C.)

I think you said to me "be prepared to be amazed" when I listened to the phono stage.

Bloody hell, it's fabulous, there is a naturalness to the sound and the soundstage is huge. It took about 20 seconds on the first LP.

Best regards

I.B. (Great Britain)

Just listened to the Statement for the first time - of course it's not yet broken in and I've only listened to one record so far (Joni Mitchell's Blue - the one we listened to on your system and a reference with which I'm extremely familiar).

Thus far all I can say is...holy shit! (pardon the language)

Did I ever make the right choice! Seriously, the sound is almost beyond belief. And the attenuator works perfectly in my (increasingly Coincident-based!) system - comfortable listening at around 11:00 - 13:00 on the dial - i.e. the range where I find most preamps sound their best.

Will fill you in a bit more as I listen more and as it breaks in...

Thanks so much
H.F. (Toronto, ON)

About two years ago an audio friend brought his tt over witch had a Shelter 901 on it. Ever since then I new I would replace my Benz H2 with one because it was so much livelier and revealing with bass I never heard before in my system, so now’s the time.

This is what the SP needed. The Benz was bringing down the SP. It now sounds like I’m listening with power, impact and weight. Yes, weight from a passive preamp. It has happened. I don’t need a preamp anymore! I’m shaking my head right now in wonderful disbelief. Israel, it is jaw dropping! This cartridge and the SP have transformed my system. I feel the weight has been lifted of my shoulders and dropped into this cartridge. I’m amazed at the depth and transparency and air this combination delivers. I’m getting goose bumps from the tingly highs with bass I’m feeling in my gut with all this happening at the same time, even at moderate listening levels. My system has never been so revealing, so immediate. WOW

H.B.(Ontario, Canada)

The Statement Phono Preamp also is a great performer: With my Blackburn-Mullards the sound is round, natural and extremely detailed at the same time. There is much more space around the instruments as with my Jadis JP 80 preamp.

B.M. (Switzerland)

Phono is continuously improving and it sounds terrific surpassing the steelhead by leaps and bounds already.

thanks Israel.
M.G. (Calgary, AB)

Hi Israel,

Also I should tell you I did my first Phono listening last night. I can describe it to you as, its good to the last drop as they say. Its the first time ever where your interested in listening to a song right to the end. It has the ability to give detail and body at an ending of a song I never heard before. It surprises you, it adds more importance to the complete song. It makes you want to listen to your Lps over again as if you've never heard them before. It packs a detailed punch for sure. Vinyl still sounds better than CD.

Thanks

Statement Line Stage

Hi. I can’t believe how much of an improvement the CSLS has made to my system. It’s incredible! I’m hosting a New Jersey Audio Society meeting at my home this coming Sunday, and I’m sure that attendees will have a lot of questions about the system. I was initially concerned about putting the CSLS in the system prior to breaking it in but I needn’t have worried. It makes the system better in every way(noise level, low and high-frequency extension, dynamics, clarity, and resolution). Most shocking to me is how much better it makes the Phono Stage sound. I really wasn’t expecting that. What would you say is the biggest reason for the huge improvements? Power supply? 101D tubes? Transformer-based volume control? I’d really like to know so that I can share this information with other NJAS members. You might be getting some more customers!

CC, New Jersey

Your preamp is simply amazing far better than any preamp I have heard regardless of cost.

E.S. (Saint Augustine, FL)

Israel,

I just wanted to let you know how absolutely thrilled I am with the Line Statement Preamp I purchased from you recently. This preamp has elevated my system to new heights sonically. I feel like I'm hearing, for the first time, what my Conrad Johnson MV50 amp is truly capable of delivering. Everything (bass, treble, clarity, dynamics) has improved.

I also wanted to mention that the build quality and the looks of your preamp are simply spectacular. That makes me feel even better about my purchase, and I'm elated enough with the sound alone!

T.H. (Woodrigde, IL.)

Hi Israel

I have been using the using the Coincident line & phono stages for 1 month now (finally ordained time for myself) The Line Stage is outstanding and I think it will go down in audio history as a classic. By the way, it easily came out on top when compared with other costly and well regarded products. Hopefully, you will continue making this great product.

The phono stage is excellent. Its dead quiet and very musical. Music through the 2nd tap of the step-up is outstanding. I use it for my Sony xl88 and other Japanese cartridges which have an internal impedance of 30-40ohm. I was surprised that it could outperform 3 other top of line step-up transformers.

Thanks again for these 2 great products. This is one of the very few times that a contermporary commercial product has made me happy.

M.N. (Lyndhurst, N.J.)

Israel,

Your linestage is phenomenal! It lives up to its reputation. I feel that it can't get any better at any price. I did have to wrestle a bit with the concept of purchasing direct without an audition, but I am *very* pleased with my purchase and glad I had faith. Thanks for taking the time with me throughout the process.

Thanks so much,

D.R. (Etna, Ohio)

Thanks Israel.

we all love it. The sound from his unit is so open and huge soundstage. The sense of presence is something I haven't heard on other preamps we have tried.

With thanks,

T.N.(Australia)

Hi Israel,

You said this last year when I asked you about the CSLS. It has been more than a year since then. The CSLS is exactly as you describe it. Great line stage indeed !

"The Line Stage is the same sonic breakthrough as the Phono. Not only will it improve the sound of CD, it will noticeable improve the sound of your LPs. You will hear more impact, wider dynamics, deeper bass but incredible as it may sound, more detail and low level information. The Combination of the Line Stage with the Phono will take vinyl and Cd reproduction to a level you never dreamed possible. "

P.L. (Seattle, WA)

Dear Israel, well you were right I am completely blown away by the preamp. Honestly, its so musically right, I cant tell whether this is transparency or alchemy - anyway sufice to say I am delighted.

A.W. (Newtown, PA)

WOW! My CDs now sound like SACDs when I use the balanced inputs. I was expecting improvement but not this.

Now I have the pleasure of going through my CD collection to see what I have been missing :)

Thank you very much!

L.L. (Australia)

I took the subs off line last night while I was burning in the CSL.  I'm not sure I'm really going to need subs anymore. The CSL has really improved the low frequencies.  Also, after about 3 hours I had substantial depth in the soundstage.  By the time I went to bed the depth was the best I have ever heard in my system.  It is really doing a nice job of spacial separation of the 1st and 2nd violins on string quartets.

I hear nothing of what I didn't like in other active preamps I've heard before.  I  hear everything I liked about the very good Promethius signature I have been using.  Even now, the transparency is better, and of course the dynamics are superb but not unnaturally so.  I

I should have made this move two years ago.

W.M.( Indianopolis, IN)

Dear Mr. Blume,

Then I would like just to say that your preamp it's really a serious top performance preamp, and i'm very happy with it.

The sound, instead, was exactly what I hoped... Maybe even better, truly a "wire with gain" wich sound great with its perfect transparency. Well done, mr. Blume, very well done!

Thank you and best regards,

L.S. (Italy)

Israel,

Put the Statement line stage in my system earlier this evening. First impressions is that this is an incredible piece of audio electronics. It is quite the performer, I am very pleased and have never heard better. I can tell after only an hour of playing it betters my buddies $12K Audio Research 5 line stage. You have designed and built a top notch product.

Best Regards

K.M.

Israel,

The Sound is Amazing. You are a genius. I have the best system in Canada.

Initial listen sounds great -

- really an unbelievable bargain for a state of the art preamp like this. It's funny, when the line stage was delayed I bought a used de Havilland Ultraverve - a well-respected pre and one that I had previously owned and know quite well. When I inserted it in the system the sound degraded and it was obvious I was better off just running passive without it - sold it rather quickly. Although I knew the system could use more gain the degradation with the Ultraverve was unacceptable. Not the case with the Statement Line Stage - it injects a huge amount of life into the system without any hint of degradation, at least on listening to a few of my "reference" LPs with it not even fully burned in. The things I notice on extremely brief listen so far are more body and weight (esp noticeable on vocals), fuller and more impactful bass, more immediacy and presence, everything sounding more vivid, almost as if it is "louder" (in a good way) even though SPL is the same.

Hi, Israel it was nice to see you and chat at RMAF this year I`m sure your room was quite pleasing for the many visitors there.

The TRL Dude linestage is considered by some to be one of the great preamps available and an absolute bargain. Some believe it betters preamps costing 3-6x it`s price. There`s much adulation on internet forums particularly audiogon.

Thanks to a very kind audiogon member who lent me his Dude I had the opprotunity to compare with my CSLS(Coincident Statement Linestage).

The Dude is very good sounding, I found it dynamic, full bodied and large scale in it`s presentation. I can see why it`s adored by many listeners.

In direct comparison to the CSLS in my system the Coincident is a higher level performer. Transparency, openess, nuance and inner detail are clearly superior, It has a noticably lower noise floor.

There`s a greater sense of live flesh and blood performers, there`s a breath of life presence that`s undeniable.Tthe sound is utterly clear and grainless, the Dude has full bodied tone yet the CSLS tonality is an improvement and with better overtone and harmonic preservation.. I felt that timing, ease and musical flow were better.

Overall the CSLS is supremely natural and just had more realism and allowed a higher degree of emotional involvement. And believe me the Dude is no slouch(it`s better than many) however it was simply not at the level of the superb CSLS.

Hi Israel. Thanks for the excellent service and this Line Stage which i am listening to at this moment (Shelly Lynne trying to do justice to Dusty Springfield!) One word.
Fabulous! thanks.

Just barely managed to drag myself away from the stereo to send this mail.

The Line Stage is truly superb. There's been a transformation in the system with noticeable improvements in almost all areas -- presence, tonality, dynamics, resolution, soundstage, bass, imaging etc etc.

Fred and I listened for over 6 hours non-stop yesterday and I've been at it for a couple of hours today already. Thankfully my immediate neighbour is away for the weekend!

An exceptional product!

Thanks.

Israel I want to tell you that the Statement Linestage is every bit the equal of the marvelous FrankensteinMK2 amp. I`ve own these two components for 10 months now with many hours of glorious music reproduction and can say with complete sincerity that my enjoyment and satisfaction continue to increase! I`ve been exposed to some of the most expensive and quite highly regarded electronics(tube and solid state) but this Coincident combination is`nt shamed or outclased by any other in terms of just pure, natural and honest reproduction of music. How a builder of a line of renown speakers could devlop electronics of the highest caliber is astonishing.

Best Regards

The Coincident Statement Line Stage :
For your information the burn-in period is now above 100 hours and the Statement Line Stage is already so much "better" than theC-J Act2 Series 2,
I am really amazed !
The Line Stage and the Franks are the two High-End products that has impressed me the most over the last 25 years !

Hi Israel,

Congrats on further positive coverage regarding the line stage!
After some 8 visits to CES over a 10 year period, it is not too often that a product and musical experience leaves such a deep imprint. I can hardly recall when I felt genuinely so strongly for a single apparatus, and felt an urge to have it in my (in this case our demo room) system.

Statement Step Up Transformer

Dear Israel – After 10 minutes I can tell that my vinyl playback is at a level I have never experienced before. The step up elevates vinyl play back so much it is unreal. I am so very happy.

I just thought I would tell you I am really enjoying my Coincident step up . It's a significant improvement on the Bryston unit I was using. All of my records sound better. Some records that  I found rather ordinary before I now enjoy a lot. I guess I wasn't hearing them at their best before.
Best regards

Hi Israel,
First of all thank you very much for your fine product and good service.

I would be very happy for you to use what I have written below in the SUT " comments"  section on your website as it may be of assistance to someone else in their decision making.

If I had to describe the Coincident Statement Step Up Transformer in just one word I would use the word "Glorious".

It sounds just so completely natural and real with its rich array of tonal colors and textures, and (importantly for me) no emphasized harshness or glare on less well recorded LPs.
There is also notably more detail along with a wider and more effortless dynamic range and bass power.

It was for me a significant purchase but I feel that it has been well worth it as its inclusion into my vinyl based system is allowing through unrestrained the musical qualities of my LPs that I value so much. (my system includes a Lyra Skala mc cartridge - Leben RS28CX valve mm phono stage/pre amplifier and CS660P power amplifier with Harbeth HL5 Super speakers).

Finally, I believe that along with the luxury of 2 gain settings and a range of switchable cartridge loading options it will continue to suit me should I make any component changes in the future.

Thanks again and good listening.
